The Biggest Moon Since 1993

Don't miss the full moon tonight, it's the largest moon in years because it's the closest to Earth it has been since 1993. The composite image above shows how comparitively large the moon looks tonight compared to the average full moon. It's about 14% larger looking and 30% brighter. That's a whole lotta moon!

I went out this evening to see the moon and try to get some decent pics of it, however, the weather here in Toronto is freeeeeezing! I couldn't use my fingers beyond 2 minutes without them becoming numb. So no pics for me. :(

Wow, I didn't know, and yesterday, as I was coming home late : I was thinking : "it's so bright it looks like the night scene of the 60's movies when they filmed during the day and added a dark veil of some sort on the camera."
