The Plier Store

We've blogged about the growing number of narrowly focused blogs, but the phenomenon isn't limited to teh InterWeb. Lisa Katamaya of Tokyo Mango found a store in Akihabara that plies pliers! http://www.tokyomango.com/tokyo_mango/2008/11/plier-store-dis.html

Reminds me of the time I was skateboarding around India and had a mud caked bearing disentegrate. I was kinda despereate, where the hell are you going to find 608Z bearings in Pune? After hours of wandering around, through the automotive parts district, through the machine tools district, I found a shop...nothing but ball bearings!! It was literally 100% ring bearings. I was ecstatic. I asked if they had 608Zs...he pulls out a big box! 608Zs from Singapore, from Germany, from Japan, from China, from Thailand, from Italy, and, yes, from India..man, I was in hog heaven. They were so cheap, and great quality. Put any skate shop back home to shame. I bought enough Singapore bearings to last me to the present day five years later ;)
