Strange Carafes by Etienne Meneau

Strange Carafes are a set of wine decanter made by French sculptor Etienne Meneau. The intricate glass carafes hold one bottle of wine and go for as much as 5,000 2,200 Euros. All I want to know is: how do you wash them?

If you can afford a 5,000 Euro carafe, you probably don't have to worry about washing it yourself and can pay others to worry about that, as well as accomplish it.

They are pretty neat looking, though.

It's a neat art project, for sure, very creative and violates standard thinking. But I'd much prefer a lovely cut crystal decanter in my home. Speaking of which...anyone want to send me a crystal decanter?

I'd buy that. Then after I'd made a spectacle of myself at some beach house dinner party with it, I'd have a glassman melt it down and turn into something else, like I dunno, a vase or something.
