Colorful "Rainbow" Cauliflowers

Plant company Syngenta has created "rainbow cauliflowers" that look like they came back from the neon-drenched '80s.

Some scientists say that these veggies (created through selective breeding, not genetic engineer) could even be healthier for you: Link - Thanks wade7!

I've tried those. They (unfortunately) don't taste much different than white cauliflower. They're deceiving... because of the colour, I expected the orange one to taste like cheese!

well, selective breeding is a form of genetic engineering.
This is a frustrating misconception by the public in relation to GMOs.
These are still genetically modified organisms, just like any cow bred to prefer a type of crop, or have a likelihood to be unusually massive, its just that they dont have introduced genes such as extra beta carotene from a carrot gene, or extra iron from a haemaglobin.
