Neatorama has posted several stories about animals that produce fluorescent proteins after gene splicing. Now South Korean scientists have produced cloned cats that produce RFP (Red Fluorescent Protein). The cats glow in the dark when exposed to ultraviolet rays! Three such cats were cloned, and two of the Turkish Angoras have survived to adulthood. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=071212210021.3u7d8gpx&show_article=1%E2%84%91=large -via Metafilter
Sci-fi will be reality then.
Then I want to be a wookie :)
Yeah, a lot of people are freaked out by things like genetic manipulation and cybornetics, but they thrill me (like the newest on 'input to computers using only thought' technology).
If he gets to be a wookie, i want to be a techno-jedi! Wireless 'write-only' transmitting device that converts thoughts into commands for enabled devices... like, starting your car, altering your lights/temperature in your house, changing the channel, text messaging, playing video games!, etc, all with thought!! Gha!! :D
Only if you expose them to black light.
"Another reason to experiment on cats and other animals" !?!?!
What a scummy thing to say, @hole.
I want one...I'll name it Rave
