Five free iTunes downloads!

Here's how to get five free iTunes downloads costing between $0.99 and $1.29*:

  • Login to Facebook (if you don't have an account already, create one)

  • Go to the group Ticketmaster Live by clicking here or searching in Facebook for "Ticketmaster Live."

  • Join the group.

  • Upon joining, you'll be presented with a code to redeem at the iTunes Store. It should spell this out clearly. (The code will likely look something like this: TMX6WMNWL7H3Q).

  • Go to the iTunes Store within iTunes and click on "Redeem" in the top of the right-hand column.

  • Enter the code when prompted. You will receive credit for five downloads costing between $0.99 and $1.29 to be used before December 31, 2007

  • Enjoy!

*Note that this worked for me with a US Facebook account and a US iTunes Store account. I'm passing this info along because it worked for me - there is no guarantee that it will work elsewhere.

What are the demographics of those for whom it isn't working?

Do you have US Facebook accounts? US iTunes Store accounts?

Which step isn't working for you? Are you not getting the code upon joining the group? Are you getting the code but it doesn't work in iTunes?

You can get 25 or 50 free songs at emusic.com and it is actual mp3 format. I used to get their offers added on to some software product and always ignored it, but I actually did it recently and it works great. They still haven't gotten a (paid) #51 out of me yet, but hey, I'm cheap.....

So now we know how many hoops the internet horde is willing to jump thru (and how little they value their personal information) for a whopping $6.45 worth of crappy drm filled "music".

P.T. Barnum must be laughing his sides off.

Didn't work through a standard .net email. But using my alumni .edu address (also this time I said I was a student and I was born in 1986 - a total lie!), it worked like a charm. US resident as well. Not sure if this made a difference or if the promotion is just random, but those were the variables that worked for me.

It worked for my account and my girlfriends (both about 2 years old), but it didn't work on a newer account I created about 6 months ago. Maybe that has something to do with it so people don't create 20 accounts just to get free iTunes songs. ????

Don't forget to redeem those codes before the end of the year! Also if you want even more free iTunes downloads, check out http://www.itsfreedownloads.com which has a complete list and some widgets too to keep track of them.
