If you live in Oregon, Every year EOU (eastern Oregon University) hosts a MASSIVE book sale, its put on by AAUW and proceeds go to help a lot of causes.

I've gotten a LOT of old books in beautiful condition there, for as little as a 10-25ยข each. Local libraries often also have such sales. Random old books are cheap and commonplace.
Now... if you're a true bibliophile, then (like me)you have specific titles and editions in mind and that gets more challenging. But as some bibliophiles might agree, sometimes its the hunt that I enjoy more than the book.
