Habitat for Humanity East Bay (Northern California) Looking for Volunteers.

Neatorama reader Hui Nie wrote to us about a partnership between my alma mater, UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) with Habitat for Humanity East Bay to recruit volunteers for their annual Build-A-Thon event.

This year, they are building 8 houses for low-income families in just for 4 days (April 19-22)! In order for volunteers to participate, each individual must raise $200 to pledge for their participation per day. The Cal Habitat chapter is in need of sponsorships and donations to help pledge their Cal affiliated volunteers to participate in this exciting and meaningful event.

I've volunteered to help build a home for Habitat for Humanity - it was a lot of fun!

I remember sitting with hundreds and hundreds of other students in Wheeler's main auditorium listening to a lecture. Aaah, good times.

Get back to studying, marksaldana!
