Head of World Bank Wears Socks with Giant Holes!

Paul Wolfowitz [wiki], the head of World Bank, visited a mosque during an official visit to Turkey. Obeying local customs, he removed his shoes and revealed two large holes in his socks! Link

All rich peoples have holes in their socks.

They never waste money remplacing what is not essential. Why do you think they're rich?

I got holes in all of my socks and im proud of it.

not without precedent...

In 1952, William Gallagher won a pulitzer prize for taking a simliar photo showing the hole in the sole of presidential hopeful Adlai Stevenson.

Awh thats endearing in a weird sort of way. The poor guy is probably a bachelor. No time to mend/buy new socks. If he has a wife, she is probably just there for his money and dosn't take care of his fashion emergencies. :(
