Woman Finds Real Pearl In Supermarket Oyster

A woman has found a real pearl inside a supermarket oyster in what must be a million-to-one chance.

Teri Preece bought a pack of 6 oysters and inside one of them was a pearl worth approximately £100. Colleagues have made the pearl into a ring worth £500. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2007030311,00.html

Hopefully she didn't have to pay for it to be made into a ring! I can see it now: "Honey, I know $400 is expensive ... but the pearl was free!"

Years ago I was eating some oysters from Long John Silvers, fast food fish place, and I bit down on something hard which almost broke my tooth. Since I had only had oysters a couple times before and I thought they were gross, I just swallowed the whole thing.
Later I strted wondering if maybe I had swallowed a pearl.
Also, I experienced kidney stones shortly after that, needless to say I now chew my food carefully and examine anything that appears to not be digestible.
