House on a Museum.

That "house" on the roof of the Viennese Museum of Modern Art is actually an exhibition, titled "House-Attack" by Erwin Wurm:

The art project, entitled House-Attack by top local sculptor Erwin Wurm, is supposed to look as if the house has fallen out of the sky and landed on the famous museum in the centre of the Austrian capital.

It actually took two cranes to put the huge sculpture into place, which is complete with a red roof, window boxes and a TV antenna.

The artist said his work was a statement against over-development.

If it's not a "statement", it's not art, apparently.
It's part of the whole artsy ideal spawned out of the 60's protest mentality. It's a marketing ploy to appeal to the rebel instinct in people. Kind of like making boomers feel young by playing Mick Jagger music in a commercial.

Perhaps somebody should make a statement against overstatement in art.

Why does everything have to be a statement; I mean it's just cool to put a house backwards on another house ... and *cool* is reason enough.
