Where Are They Now: Schoolhouse Rock!

Whatever happened to the Schoolhouse Rock! [wiki] singers? (Remember Conjunction Junction?) Our pals at YesButNoButYes tracked 'em down: Link - Thanks Mario!

I was happy to see this post.

Last weekend I rented the Schoolhouse Rock DVD and watched the animations I grew up with (37 year old Gen-Xer) every saturday morning. I can honestly say that I both laughed and cried (literally) with delight and emotion watching those old jewels. It was VERY moving for me. It was also so interesting to pick up on more adult (or simply more advanced) themes and lyrics that I missed as a kid.

The optimism and sincerity that came across, along with the genius lyrics, playfull melodies, and simple but clever animation, made for such a contrast with these past few years (in political terms).

"Three is a magic number" in particular, just breathes so much of the hope of the early 70s. Loved watching it again, with so much nostalgia and fondness.

I was only introduced to Schoolhouse Rock in recent years when my children received a set of the videotapes. I credit the series for their fascination with science. Now I wish these were available when I was a child!

avocado does not contain or and the darn thing kept telling me that my email address belonged to someone else and would not let me submit!

Avocado lacks the word or, which all of the other words feature. The theme for today was conjunctions. School House Rock was proved right, because and, but, and or have gotten me pretty far.

Or is the connecting theme. I was going with either oregon since alligator pear does have or in it, but the or is pronounced differently in it. Or avocado since it doesn't have or. I'll go with the former just to be different!

they all contain 'or' following the conjunction theme of today's puzzles involving 'but' and '&'/'and', except from the avocado stone which contains the preposition 'on'
