Wedding cakes are created to be tasteful looking and tasty, something lovely for guests to gawk at yet delicious enough for them to devour on the bride and groom's special day.

But when you want your guests to fear your marriage, and the end times it's ushering in, you should serve them a slice of this bloody zombie cake.

It takes guts to gnaw on this grisly mess of a cake, which was created by Cakes Cove bakery for their Zombie Horde event in Toronto, Canada, but rest assured- your guests will never forget eating a slice of this sickening cake!

The Yakuza's association with Halloween in Japan seems like a bad joke, but they've been the go-to guys for spooky entertainment and a night full of fun for trick-or-treaters for decades.

Last year the gang handed out candy in colorful bags to legions of little costumed kiddies and all went well, but a recent split in the Yakuza's ranks has them fearing a gunfight will break out so they decided to cancel the Halloween festivities.

Adding to the surreal nature of this story is the fact that the cancellation was announced with this note posted on the gate of Yamaguchi-gumi's headquarters in the port city of Kobe:

"The Halloween event that has taken place annually on 31 October will be cancelled this year due to various reasons. We regret disappointing parents and children who are looking forward to the event, but we promise to hold it next year, so please look forward to that."

Man, the Japanese mafia seem like a bunch of stand-up guys!

The Phantom of the Opera left monster fans fascinated by the thought of a haunted theater, and yet when they attended a performance they found nothing but snoozing men in suits and a whole lotta singing.

But those who didn't get the Dickens scared out of them at the theater were simply in the wrong place, because there are theaters all over the world that are, by all accounts, actually haunted.

If it was a genuine Phantom experience they were after they should have attended the Paris Opera's Palais Garnier, which inspired the novel's setting when an apartment and a male corpse were discovered during renovation.

Mayors are among the strangest of all politicians, and over the years we've been treated to an array of crazy mayoral archetypes including the xenophobic, the drug addicted and the downright crazy.

But as far as I know we haven't seen what an exorcist can do as mayor, but if Toledo's most high spirited candidate Opal Covey is elected she's sure to drive away some political demons.

Opal is more than just an exorcist- she's a prophet who discovered her healing abilities when God spoke to her at the age of fourteen, and in 1977 God sent her to take care of the good people of Toledo, Ohio. 

Esquire's Matt Miller conducted an interview with Toledo's most famous exorcist to see what she plans to do if elected mayor, and he discovered Opal's mayoral platform revolves around two things- potholes and an amusement park.

When kids discover the joy of trick-or-treating and actually get excited about going out on Halloween they're finally at that perfect age to make them wear a costume they hate and scar them for life!

Many kid's costumes seem to be created without much thought on the part of the designer, such as this Twister costume that says "put your hands and feet all over me, strange person!"

And then there are those costumes that seem to have been made by a designer who truly despises children, because who else could justify dressing a kid up as a walking trashcan?

You can tell the costume designer really hated kids because they went out of their way to hide the kid's face, so people wouldn't be grossed out by the fact that the rotten smell is actually a kid in a costume!

Sexual education literature is often blasted for being too vague or too clinical for kids to understand, which is exactly how those who don't want sex ed taught in schools like their literature.

But there's no place for vagueness in sex ed, and even this beautifull illustrated book from 1968 called How Babies Are Made explained sex better than many modern sex ed textbooks.

It does, however, omit a visual reference of the sex act itself, which is forgivable considering when the book was published, but overall Time Life did a bang up job of creating a kid's sex ed primer.

How Babies Are Made is full of beautiful papercut illustrations by Blake Hampton, easy to understand descriptions of sex acts, and connects everything sexual to the process of fertilization. Maybe it's time for this book to be reprinted?

People usually don't expect to receive a reward when they save an animal's life because it's reward enough to know the animal is alive and well thanks to a little human help.

An outdoorsman named Darius noticed a newborn deer with a hitch in its giddy-up thanks to an injured front leg, and when the deer's mama ditched it Darius took it in and helped set its leg straight.

After some rehabilitation and tender loving care from Darius, and his lovable Bernese Mack, the little deer's leg was as good as new, and the deer couldn't thank Darius enough.

But, after a few months with its foster family, the little deer spotted her mother and rejoined her forest dwelling family, leaving Darius with a deer shaped hole in his heart.

The citizens of Sesame Street were always telling Cookie that he needed to get an education, so he decided to change up his diet and eat something that would give him more brain power. He tried to eat discs but their jagged edges were too sharp, and then he tried to eat the internet and discovered he could only hold about 5 MB of memory. Finally he settled on devouring those dry, dusty tomes known as books, which worked like a charm and immediately increased his monster mind. He stopped speaking in the third person, stopped eating everything in sight and started writing a memoir entitled "Blue Fur Beginnings and the Fleece Faced Future- My life as a monster on Sesame Street". "The best way to take a punch is to look at it. Honestly. Someone could hit you with the hardest punch that they have, but as long as you see it, it's not going to knock you out. It's the punches that you don't see that knock you out."

And here's a great tip on how to win a bar fight:

"Grab a chair. That's what my mom [judo champion AnnMaria De Mars] told my sister when she went off to college. She didn't give her advice on how to do laundry. She said, 'Listen: You're a small person, so if s@#t goes down at a bar, you grab a chair and you just start swinging it around.'
