Rad Lord by Vincent Trinidad

Every time Darth goes walking down the hall and passes a group of stormtroopers he inevitably hears them say "Was that Lord Vader? Rad!", and even though he has no idea what "rad" means he's pretty sure it's something good. Darth couldn't help but wonder about being "rad", so he consulted some of the younger crew members to help him make sense of this hip lingo- and they were too afraid of being force choked to truly speak their minds. But Darth didn't like being left in the dark, so he ordered his men to capture a Gungan for interrogation, since those stupid creatures are always hip and can't help but speak their minds. And when the foul smelling creature arrived Darth was most pleased to discover that "rad" was short for "radical", and when used as slang it meant really good. Of course, he would have to hide his happiness about being deemed "rad" from the Emperor, lest he get blasted to smithereens by lightning...

The accents you hear in movies aren't typically what you'd call accurate, and this lack of accuracy can be really distracting and detract from the viewing experience.

Of course, having no accent at all can ruin a movie too, just look at how bad Kevin Costner's portrayal of Robin Hood was largely because he refused to use a British accent.

But even though they have dialect coaches like Erik Singer available to help actors master a more realistic accent it seems they'd rather let actors like Brad Pitt and Will Smith do their own thang.

When people hear the word "Beatnik" they immediately think about berets, striped shirts, bongos, bad poetry and goatees, and the Beatnik subculture is still most commonly associated with the 1960s.

But the heyday for Beats like Jack Kerouac, Gregory Corso and Alan Ginsberg was actually the late 1940s through the 50s, because that's when they were busy inspiring a literary movement and subculture at the same time.

The original Beats who inspired the trendy Beatniks in the 60s could be seen hanging out in jazz clubs and coffee shops around Greenwich Village, New York, where they would read poems, dig the tunes or just get dixie fried.

So if you wanted to meet those real gone cats collectively known as the Beat Generation you had to hang at places like the Gaslight Cafe or the Seven Arts Cafe, where every night was a gas and the java flowed all night long.

Werner Herzog makes Alfred Hitchcock look like a big softie, and his broody demeanor is so inscrutable it almost seems like an act he's spent decades practicing and refining.

But proving Werner is every bit as unflappable as he seems is as easy as pulling the trigger and seeing how many f@#ks he gives.

Luckily, Werner was only shot with a pellet gun while taping this interview for The Culture Show back in 2006, and the pellet only embedded itself in his skin rather than blowing his guts out.

Parents can't seem to agree on whether there's a secret to raising good kids or not, and for every person who swears they know the secret there's an absentee parent who managed to raise a good kid even though they're never home.

But the secret to raising a good kid is the kind of thing behaviorists and psychologists love to argue about, and these experts love to boil it all down to one easy to remember list whenever possible.

According to human development experts at Harvard University there are 6 or 7 main "guideposts to raising caring, respectful, and ethical children"-

1. Teach children to control their emotions

2. Talk to them about taking responsibility for their actions

3. Teach your children to be compassionate and help the weak

4. Teach your children to be grateful

5. Instill your family values in them and show them what constitutes good behavior

6. Spend more time together

7. Be a good role model and mentor
