Piccol-O's - With The Taste Kids Love...Or Else!

Piccol-O's by Kinda Creative

Piccolo tried to take down Goku and the other saiyans, he tried his hand at global domination, but in the end things just didn't work out for him...so he got a real job. He started out as a lowly graphic designer, creating package art for food products and such, and then he saw that the company he worked for had lots of room for advancement- because the owner was a mere human. After giving the poor old owner the thrashing of a lifetime Piccolo quickly took over the company and declared himself ruler/owner of Saiyan Cereals, makers of everybody's new favorite breakfast treat Piccol-O's- the cereal that turns milk green and tastes like dragon balls...yech!

Add some deliciously geeky humor to your wardrobe with this Piccol-O's t-shirt by Kinda Creative, its the tasty way to show love for that DBZ bad boy everybody loves to hate.

First Class 92 - Sometimes Live Action Pales In Comparison To Cartoons

First Class 92 by JP Perez

The X movies have been lacking something the original cartoon had plenty of- character. Those mutant men and women just don't look the same when they're played by big names on the big screen, and the costume changes are a bit jarring to anyone who once watched the cartoon as a youngster. But it seems that X-fans will have to settle for live action close enough since there aren't any more animated series on the horizon....or better yet just grab the old animated series on DVD and enjoy it with your mutant family.

Show the world how much better the original cartoon series was than the new movies with this First Class 92 t-shirt by JP Perez, it's sure to bring back memories and get people talking about the evolution of the X!

Celebrities Audition To Become Stephen Hawking's New Voice

Stephen Hawking is a forward thinking fellow, so when he was told his synthesized voice sounds a bit outdated he decided to call up some of his famous friends and let them have a go at becoming his new voice.

Okay, so the whole thing is just a funny bit by Comic Relief, but if Stephen ever does decide to get a new voice for his speech synthesizer he's got quite a few great voices to choose from!

The Real-Life Waterworld Project

Waterworld isn't the kind of movie that makes people think "gee, I'd sure like to live there someday!", but Brooklyn street artist Swoon saw the film as inspirational- so she started making floating homes out of trash.

Swoon calls her creations "The Swimming Cities of Serenissima", and back in 2009 she and a few dozen friends crashed the Venice Biennale contemporary art show with their barges made of trash from NYC.

Photographer and lifetime crew member Tod Seelie captured the post-apocalyptic spectacle as the trash barges floated through Venice, giving everyone a glimpse of how people might live on a drowned world.

This Little Piggy Went To Home Depot When His Fence Was Blown Down

Pigs look like carefree critters when they're laying around in their sty or wallowing in the mud, but they're only super chill when they know they're protected from the big bad wolves by a fence or a wall.

So when 60 mph winds knocked down Hamlet the pig's protective fence he did the only logical thing to keep himself safe- he went down to his local Home Depot store in Portage, Michigan to look for some help.

M.C. Escher Demonstrates His Artistic Process

M.C. Escher was an uniquely gifted artist who had a knack for infusing art with mathematics, even though Escher himself claimed he had "no mathematical ability".

Obsessed with perspective, geometry, and pattern (Escher described tessellation as “a real mania to which I have become addicted”), his images have, by the count of mathematician and Escher scholar Doris Schattschneider, led so far to eleven separate strands of mathematical and scientific research.

In 1971 Dutch filmmaker Han Van Gelder asked Escher to demonstrate his artistic process for a documentary entitled Adventures In Perception, in which we can see Escher creating his final print Snakes.

Brothers In Red - Two Super Punny Pals

Brothers In Red by OneBluebird Art

Wade and Peter are both amazingly tough, they can both wisecrack with the best of them and they both favor the color red. But despite their similarities the two superguys didn't become fast friends, mostly because DP kept doing stuff that the super moral Spider Man didn't approve of, namely killing people and destroying stuff. Once they were able to iron out their differences and found themselves on the same side of the law DP and SM started doing that fist bump thang like total bros, and became a pair of unstoppable super friends!

Get geared up for some superheroic fun with this Brothers In Red t-shirt by OneBluebird Art, and celebrate a friendship forged in battle and reinforced by really bad jokes!

DIY Horror Movie Makeup Lessons From The 1960s

Dressing up isn't reserved for Halloween night when you're a monster movie fan, and trying to recreate those spooky looks becomes a lifelong mission we undertake so we can feel closer to those creatures of the night.

Back in 1965 Forrest J. Ackerman hired make-up artist Dick Smith to help him create the first tutorial book on recreating those monstrous looks at home- The Do-It Yourself Monster Make-Up Handbook.

It sold for .60 cents and set the standard for all monster makeup tutorials to come, like those featured in magazines like Fangoria, The Monster Times and Forrest's own Famous Monsters Of Filmland.

Experimental Cutlery That Makes Eating An Adventure

When we sit down to enjoy a meal we use cutlery and dishware to help us eat more efficiently, which is why the stuff we eat with and off of hasn't changed much over the centuries.

But what if our cutlery could transform dining into an unique experience every time we eat?

The experimental cutlery and dishware sold by Jouw is designed to be functional yet artsy, really odd looking and equally fun(ky) to eat with, and sure to engage your mind every time you eat.

However, when you see the price of these pretty (strange) pieces of cutlery you may want to leave it on the shelf...and get it insured.

They're functional, engaging, and sure to spark lots of conversations, but boy are they expensive!

For instance, this Binocular Spoon Fork by Sergey Jivetin will look great on your table, but it will also set you back $1600 so don't go using it to eat Franks and Beans.

Guy Recreates Cocktails From The Simpsons

The Simpsons has contributed so much to pop culture, and society in general, that it's no wonder the show is still going strong nearly 30 years later.

And yet the colorful cocktails made by characters on the show, such as the Flaming Homer or the Skittlebrau, have yet to make the leap into real life.

So Nick Fisher of Cocktail Chemistry made these two drinks, along with "a single plum floating in perfume served in a man's hat" for comedic effect, then he came up with new and improved versions you can actually drink. Except for that perfume in a hat one, of course, that one's way too ahead of its time.

The Long Egg-Speriment- How To Make A Long Egg At Home

A while back one of those "As Seen On TV" companies started selling a product that helps people cook eggs in a long rod shape, which seemed like a mighty strange shape for an egg.

I soon discovered the long egg is an integral part of the British fave raised pork and egg pie, aka Gala Pie, which is baked in a loaf pan with a long egg in the middle.

However, as delicious as the Gala Pie looks, it hardly seems like a dish you'll make often enough to justify buying a new kitchen gadget, but how can we make long eggs without one?

(YouTube Link)

This video by KeefCooks shows what a long, hard process it is to make a long egg without a device, and nearly a year later Keef returned with the definitive video on making totally tubular eggs.

The Soul Of A Baker

The Grim Reaper has many amazing abilities he/she/it uses to help travel across the globe and gather souls, but those powers don't make their life any less monotonous and exhausting.

And what good are a bunch of amazing powers if they're all for taking and not making?

Plus, as this Lunarbaboon comic shows, Death longs to bake and taste baked goods again, so if you aren't ready to go when Death shows up on your doorstep just get them to help you make some muffins!

Why Do Cats Act So Weird?

We love cats because they're cute, cuddly and act like they're from another planet, and we know how smart they are so we assume their strange behavior is a sign of boredom and restlessness.

But, as this animated TED-Ed lesson by Tony Buffington shows, cat behaviors such as pouncing on stuff, exploring and squeezing into tight spaces, clawing and climbing up as high as they can go are all instinctual.

(YouTube Link)

Tony answered many cat questions in this video, but I still don't know why my cat is scared of his own reflection and his own shadow...maybe cats are instinctual and weird?
