Hearing how overcrowded it is in China and seeing it in pictures are two different things, because nothing registers the meaning of the word "overcrowded" quite like a photo.

China is currently home to a staggering 1.3 billion people, a number which is growing rapidly since they dropped the "one child per family" laws established in the 1970s.

But it has only been a year or so since they dropped this policy so it's still unclear whether societal balance will be restored when more boys and girls are born in China.

However, if it works to restore balance between young and old and man and woman China could once again rise to its former glory as a society, only this time there will be a hell of a lot more people trying to live in the same amount of space.

The stuff we carry around in our bags, purses and pockets when we leave the house says a lot about who we are, where we come from, and our standing in society.

So imagine what all the stuff carried by immigrants says about them, their bags full of typical travel supplies plus all the prized possessions they've brought with them to start their new lives.

These possessions are then unceremoniously tossed in the trash when the immigrant is detained by the U.S. Border Patrol, the story of an immigrant's journey tossed like used tissue.

Photographer Thomas Kiefer used to work as a janitor at the U.S. Customs office in Ajo, Arizona, whre he saw all of the "non-essential" items carried by illegal immigrants thrown away like trash.

Thomas felt it was a shame that those items were tossed out in such a way, so he rescued them from the garbage and started taking pictures of the items he'd collected.

Individually the items photographed for Thomas' series El Sueno Americano don't say much, but together on the table they tell a story about individuals willing to risk it all in search of a better life.

This poor little mud-covered puppy was discovered by workers at a construction site in London. He was quickly sent to the nearest vet -the South Essex Wildlife Hospital to be cleaned up and saved, but after a little shampoo, his rescuers were shocked by what they found underneath.

That's right, the poor little muddy, debris-covered pup was actually an adorable little fox kit. Puppy or not, I'm sure this little cutie was happy to be rescued from his filthy cocoon.

The plot of Stranger Things seems pretty straightforward to me, and yet there are quite a few questions purposefully left unanswered, which fans are happy about because that means we get a second season.

But one question remained on my mind well after I finished binge watching the first season- what is Eleven's relationship to the monster the kids call the Demogorgon?

Celebrity roasts are all the rage these days thanks to Comedy Central's efforts to keep this annual comedic event alive and in the spotlight, but in some ways the roasting has gone too far.

I mean, how many cringe-worthy and utterly abasing jokes can we hear in a year without becoming a bit cynical?

Comedy fans need a break from the same old verbal roasting, which is where artist SketchyCrab comes in- he roasts people by request with drawings so it's totally different.

SketchyCrab has the observational skills of a seasoned roaster, so he hones in on people's flaws and exaggerates them in the twisted caricature drawings he posts on the subreddit r/RoastMe.

But don't feel bad for these folks- they literally asked for it!

Growing up with cartridge-based gaming meant dealing with cartridges prone to all sorts of little problems, so gamers were introduced to the basics of loading, using and cleaning ROM cartridges.

But most young gamers had no clue how those ROM cartridges actually functioned- we knew the “golden fingers” had to contact connectors inside the slot, but beyond that the function was a mystery.

The 8-Bit Guy created this video to show us the inner workings of an old school game cartridge, comparing their function to floppy disks and revealing how memory expanded by cartridges helped improve graphics.

Anxiety can play tricks on your mind, twisting all incoming information to help perpetuate fear and keep you stressed out, feeding the anxiety monsters lurking within you.

But you can battle these monsters by taking what people say at surface value instead of trying to find hidden meanings in their words.

For instance- when somebody offers facts and figures to put you at ease about your trip just thank them and travel on, or else people are liable to start offering up names of psychiatrists you should see.

Anxiety can be hard to overcome, and it seems the smarter you are the more your anxious mind wants to quantify all of your fears so they become more real.

We all use language based on our backgrounds, lifestyles and how our friends speak, and your age can make a big difference in your choice of words. So now Zimbio challenges you to see if the site can guess your age based on your language use. I can't say it's particularly accurate, given that I'm 32 and it claimed I was 40 or 50, even so, it's a pretty fun quiz and I admit that I probably do use more mature language than most people my age. 

State fairs are known for deep-fried goodness and the reality is that because new items are introduced every year at practically every fair, it's hard to find new and unusual creations. That being said, fried Jell-O is certainly a new one and unlike fried Kool Aid and many other fried treats, it's not just funnel cake with some kind of liquid poured  into the batter. This time it's actually Jell-O battered and then deep fried and it must be good -after all, it won first place in the Best Taste award at the Texass State Fair. So if you get your chance to find some fried Jell-O, remember, there's always room for J-E-L-L-O.

In the 1980s gamers were introduced to a new kind of interactive game-VCR board games, the games you played while sitting in front of the TV.

VCR board games were seen as cutting edge by some, a weak comparison to console video games by others, but every kid who liked board games had to try out a VCR game at least once, to see what all the buzz was about.

The difference was immediately apparent, as a live action game master on the tape guided their gaming experience by yelling at them, telling them what to do or simply by adding some video scene flavor to the game.
