How to Make a Tiny Festive Hat for Your Kitty

New Years Eve is coming up on us fast and while many people will be out and about for the holiday, plenty of others will be spending the night at home (myself included). If you have pets, you'll probably want them to spend the holiday with them.

To get your little ones ready for the celebration, Buzzfeed has a great article showing you how to make your own tiny party hats perfect for a cat or small dog (if you have a big dog, regular human party hats will probably work fine).

Happy New Year everyone!

The Wonder Woman Tiara Ring

We've previously featured some of the great jewelry designs by artist Paul Michael, including his Han Solo and Death Star rings. If you like his style, but not big on Star Wars, here's one you might dig instead -a ring based on Wonder Woman's fantastic tiara. It's a fantastic gift for any lady who happens to be into strength and power.

The ring is made from warm rose gold and the star features five custom-cut kite-shaped rubies.

A Corgi Running Through The Snow, Falling In Slow Motion

(Video Link)

Those who aren't cuteficionado often don't realize how drastically different two levels of cute can be. After all, there is new-born-baby-smiling-for-the-first-time cute, and then there is corgi-falling-in-the-snow-in-slow-motion cute. Sure, many parents will probably believe that the baby is cuter, but if you're an expert in the adorable, then you almost certainly recognize that corgis are pretty much more precious than just about anything else on earth -especially when they act goofy in slow motion.

In other words, Lucy here might just be the cutest thing ever.

Learn About American Culinary History Thanks to McDonald's Japan

We recently learned about what the McDonald's in France wrongly thinks "American" food is, and now it's time to learn what McDonald's in Japan think makes up the history of American food thanks to their upcoming "American Vintage" menu.

The restaurant is taking a trip down memory lane, starting with the fifties. So what is fifties American food like? Apparently cheeseburgers with mashed potatoes and steak sauce, and honey mustard, cheddar and bacon chicken sandwiches (actually, this one sounds pretty good). The next month, the seventies will hit the scene, which seems to mean simply throwing the word "groovy" in front of pretty standard sandwiches. Last up are the eighties burgers, which are even more half-assed as they are pretty much just BBQ burgers and chicken sandwiches that the chain claims are based on pop culture.

Ehhh, not everything can be double shiny bacon.

A Geektastic Christmas Wedding Proposal

Pretty much every gamer knows that the best reason to get married is because it's dangerous to go alone. That sentiment was once again repeated with Redditor Blakplague's Christmas marriage proposal to his girlfriend.

The great Zelda-inspired box was designed by Etsy seller Turbo Toaster Studios, who sells quite a few other cool gaming-inspired boxes in their shop.

No word on whether the girlfriend in question actually said yes, but we would hope so with this kind of a fantastic and nerdy proposal. I know I sure would!

The Mario Cat Climber

While you might not see cats playing Nintendo all that often, there are still at least a few of them out there who are big fans of the old school gaming system. After all, we've already seen some great Super Mario cat hats and a Mario cat tree. Now you can even let your cat teleport from one place to another using a Mario Bros warp pipe cat climber.

Or at least, you could if you follow some of the steps seen on this Imgur album by WesWoodward.

It's Not Just A Cheesecake, It's A Mac and Cheese Cheesecake

Here at Neatorama, we pretty much love anything with cheese -particularly of the macaroni-and variety. This Macaroni and Cheese Cheesecake by The Food In My Beard is no exception. It swaps out the sweet graham cracker crust and sugary filling of traditional cheesecake for delicious bread crumbs and savory cheeses like cheddar. It still has cream cheese to give it that rich, thick filling you'd expect from a cheesecake, but other than that, it's pretty much nothing like what you'd expect.

Just imagine bringing this masterpiece out at a brunch and seeing the surprise on your guests' faces.

The Cutest Hedgehog On Instagram

I don't even have Instagram, but I think I might join the site just so I can start following Darcy the Flying Hedgehog. This adorable little angel is pretty amazing, whether just lying around or posing for the newest holiday.

She also just has non-holiday adventures in her little hedgehog world, like playing with toy soldiers, the Hungry Caterpillar or even a hair brush. Darcy's owner is professional photographer Shota Tsukamoto, who says that he wants the little critter to feel like she is living out the life of a character in a children's book.

Imagining New Actors In Superhero Movies

I have to preface this by saying that I absolutely loved Heath Ledger's Joker and I don't think anyone could have done it better -even an amazing actor like Benedict Cumberbatch. Even so, it's sure fun to imagine how different the film would have been with him as Batman's nemesis.

On the other hand, I would pay money in a second to go see Bruce Lee as Spider-Man. These fantastic "what if" artworks are from the mind of artist Alex Tuis and they are all worth a look, even for the ones that make you thank heaven they weren't cast in that role.

As It Turns Out, Christmas Tinner Is Real

(Video Link)

We first told you about Christmas Tinner at the beginning of the month and then we found it fit in well with our list of 12 crazy Christmas foods. Originally, we suspected it was just a hoax, but it turns out that at least one of these 12-layer food monstrosities was created, canned and eaten -and here's the review.

We still don't know if there were really many of these available or how many people actually ate them, but we do know now that they were created by British video game store chain Game and this one can was real.

Maple Pecan Cupcakes With Buttermilk Pancakes On Top

Pancakes are appropriately named as they are essentially just cakes cooked in a pan instead of in an oven -which is why they make such great breakfasts. It's also why we're amazed they never appeared on a cupcake before. The Moonblush Baker remidied this problem by making these adorable pancake-stacked cupcakes and she even made sure to match the flavors with pecan and maple so they are a heavenly combination of classic breakfast and dessert flavors.

The only thing that could possibly make them better would be Nutella and bacon -as those two things could make everything better.

Kids everywhere love Disney movies, so they'll pretty much all love these amazing Disney-inspired rooms in our newest article on Homes and Hues. From Tinker Bell to Dumbo, films from all eras are represented in these rooms.

While there are some absolutely amazing princess rooms, I'm a particularly big fan of the Pixar ones, like the Nemo one above, designed by experts at HGTV, and this Toy Story one by Living Lullaby Designs
