I think the law might be why their shop that sells food is around the corner from the place where the cats are. Customers bring the food in themselves. That's just a guess, though.

I've described a likely scenario. It doesn't mean my hope is that women are relegated to housework until the end of time. It's just one example of how things could happen. Women could also be in a lesbian household or men could be in a gay household; because I didn't paint that picture, it certainly doesn't mean that I'm not all for it. More power to whomever handles the laundry. According to the latest statistics I've seen, however, in a male/female couple, a woman does more housework.
