They've had some press in the last few months, which I've now reviewed. In the comments of this article, a reader had the same suspicions you shared. Although to be fair to the kid's mom, many of the drawings on their Twitter account look fine, and I haven't seen anyone question them on Twitter, which I'd certainly expect with that platform. I'd love to think the boy is just a really unusual little artist.
