The good thing about conceptual art is that the "artist" need not master any artistic skill. Just scale up everyday objects or move them to novel environments. Yawn!
I remember eating in a Tokyo restaurant about 20 years ago, where they stripped the chitin shell off live crustaceans and threw them into a wok and covered them. You could hear them beating against the lid for a while. Quite took away my appetite.
Not bad for a people forced to speak French for 200 years after being conquered by the French in 1066. (Admittedly, those particular French had Norman blood.)
Unless you are a parent, you cannot truly understand how important children are to life. The defining purpose of existence is to reproduce, and those who cannot or can no longer reproduce feel a purposelessness that is painful beyond describing.
