I may be wrong, but I think you've missed the point here. The site is taking the mickey out of groups who forcefully push one aspect of scripture whilst ignoring others. Nothing to do with denigrating anyone's beliefs, just poking fun at bigots - which needs doing anywhere, frankly.
It was not taken in Columbia, South Carolina, It was actually taken at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina at Hardin Gardens. * I'm a student there and recognized it right away, also SearonTrejorek confirmed it.
When I was in high school, they ushered all the students into the auditorium for candidate speeches prior to the student body elections. Several got up yelled their messages, pounding on the lectern, and working the crowd into a lather.
Then one candidate got up and quietly said, "I'm confident enough in what I have to say that I don't need to yell it."
That always stuck with me. I just wish I could remember if he won or not.
I'm a mom, and I can't figure out how my kids could steal my pop-tarts. I buy food. It's in the house. I expect them to eat it. It's my responsibility to provide food to my kids.
I think it's time for calls to CPS (mom has got some issues0 and the chief of police (for hiring such idiots).
