Cola's Comments

My grandfather worked at Safeway back when they sold pickles out of wooden barrels and hard boiled eggs from ceramic containers. Like you get meat, now, at the butcher's counter. Amazing stuff.

I love crunching through places like this in post apocalyptic games. It's cooler, somehow, than more modern places.

Doesn't this only apply to pet stores? I think breeders and shelters are off the hook, here.

Pets aren't that hard to come by, people, and pet stores are a nasty, nasty business.

I remember one of those photos from a class I took. I can't remember precisely, but I think it was in one of my text books as an example of color and balance in early color photography.

Assuming these were new in some way was my mistaken assumption. It was cool to look at the rest.

I once encountered a marmot sunning his belly at Old Faithful. I called him a fool. Ten feet away were the remains of a moose.

Coincidence?

If I remember right, bank tellers are instructed to do what a bank robber says, even if they don't appear to be armed.

Dead employees and patrons are more costly to a bank in the long run than whatever a teller has in her till which, as you can see here, wasn't much.

That wouldn't even pay my rent.

You take that back, Alex. They don't call him the "Amazing" James Randi for naught.

Honestly, I find the article harmless. Believers gonna believe, skeptic's gonna be skeptical. You probably know as well as I do that it's pretty much impossible to change people's minds.

That said, there's nothing like a side of reality to go with your woo woo platter.

Bruce is right. Dead animals are a health risk, and they probably weren't equipped to handle the road kill.

Maybe the city didn't clean it up because it would require money and this is something nature will take care of on its own.

Kalel's reference is well received, however. Now we teach poodles to fly.

Haha, Katwhiskers, this is the definition of "neat." It's meaningless fluff. Only reported for novelty. I honestly don't know why anyone would find it "provocative." Probably the sorts of people offended by the idea of gay men having sex in their own homes and other Puritans.

I find it exceedingly amusing.
