And half a century later we're still having the abortion debate. If this wonderful invention were free and easily-available without stigma there would be no unwanted pregnancies.
An example of marketing gone wrong. Had the movie been released first, this might've hailed as a bit of refreshing originality. Then again, we are talking about country music fans here -- not really known for their broadmindedness or willingness to accept new ideas.
