As the pilot for Apollo 12, Alan Bean holds the distinct honor of being the fourth man to walk on the moon. The astronaut later commanded the second Skylab mission in 1973 before leaving NASA in 1981. Having conquered the stars, Bean wanted to focus on his lifelong passion: art.
