T-Rex Trying is Hugh Murphy’s cartoon collection showing a poor little tyrannosaurus trying and failing to do different things that require longer arms. It’s hard to be a t-rex in a brontosaurus world.

As if T-Rex, the big daddy of dinosaurs with a serious appetite to match, isn’t badass enough in the scaly flesh, now he’s been built out of scrap metal parts by sculptor Andrew Chase.
And, while this over two foot tall, and six foot long, metal sculpture is far from life sized, he would be no less intimidating than his normal sized self to, say, a mouse or hamster, or even that annoying Chihuahua next door.
All jokes aside, Andrew’s metal T-Rex would make a great stop motion puppet, a worthy successor to Ray Harryhausen’s classic Tyrannosaurus Rex puppet from the film One Million Years B.C. Check out all the other pics of this awesome metal dinosaur at the link below, because I feel like this guy has to be seen from all sides to be truly appreciated.

Larry Moss calls his website “Airigami”, or “the fine art of folding air”. He’s crafted numerous complex works from balloons, such as the above tyrannosaurus rex skeleton. Moss also recreates classic works of art, such as Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus and da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, with balloons.

Who will win? My money’s on Logan. Maybe if it was a T-Rex that had been crossed with a Great White Shark, that would be different. Click on the link to see the end of the fight, as depicted by Andrew Hou.

Someday, we will tell our grandchildren of the chainsaw-augmented dinosaur menace of our youth. We will speak of the danger that was a part of our everyday lives — a danger that they will are free of because of our labors. And they will believe us, because we will create the Wikipedia entries necessary to back up the claim.

A private owner has donated a fossil that could change the way we think about Tyrannosaurus and their development.
Some scientists believed the T.Rex evolved to its enormous size, then its arms shrank, when they were no longer needed. The new discovery, though, shows that the tiny-armed killing machine may have evolved from a much smaller killing-machine-with-tiny-arms. This totally rearranges the previous T.Rex evolution paradigm.
The 125 million-year-old fossil dinosaur, unearthed in China and dubbed Raptorex kriegsteini, is “as close to the proverbial missing link on a lineage as we might ever get for tyrannosaurs,” Sereno said.
