Here’s a moldy old slice of cheese for your entertainment, courtesy of the 1987 sci-fi kids TV show Captain Power. Watch as the Narrator explains humanity’s predicament via reggae-styled rap, all while the heroes battle to keep humans from being turned into machines.
This video is the perfect example of why rapping should be left to the professionals, unless of course you need to quickly come up with a theme song in order to rally the troops against an android invasion.
TV sure has come a long way since the 80s, but have rappers learned from Captain Power’s mistakes?

What if the main characters on the Walking Dead tv show hadn’t survived the worldwide zombification? Well, this nifty little gallery shows us how cool they’d all look as zombies without ruining the show. Biggest LOL-Glenn as a floater!

Apparently men wearing spandex on television wasn’t looked upon very kindly during the 1960′s, and whisper campaigns plotted to take shows like Batman off the air due to an overwhelming fear of homosexuality, implied or otherwise.
An article from TV Radio Album, circa 1967, suggests that Adam West and Burt Ward might have been more than just friends, which was meant to turn public sentiment against them, then the article proceeds to show the dynamic duo doing karate and surfing like total studs. Read on, faithful viewer!

His subject matter may be a bit strange, as he draws everything from ALF to Italian soccer players, but Denis Medri’s illustrative style is full of energy, and his playful use of color and construction lines add a hand rendered warmth to the drawings that really bring the characters to life. Follow the link to his DeviantArt page and you can see more illustrations from an artist with some serious range.

It’s almost here! Season 4 premieres on July 25th! Meantime, here’s a cool behind-the-scenes chat with Matthew Weiner and costume designer Janie Bryant who talk about how the clothes and story go hand-in-hand and what is in store for the hit series’ next season.
Says Weiner, “People have responded to the show by embracing a dressier lifestyle, especially men with a more tailored look—I love that. I always felt like it was the highest compliment that the show changed menswear more than women’s clothing, because men are much slower to change. That was never the intention, of course. Mad Men was never meant to be a fashion show.”

I don’t have time to watch one TV, much less several all at once! HBO Imagine is a new website that aims to tell a story through interconnecting short clips as opposed to the linear format of today’s TV show as well as different angles. And I mean that literally – you can change the camera angle of the clip and see "hidden" parts of the story. The more clips you watch, the more you unlock clips and clues.
It’s a new way of watching a show – kind of edgy, I suppose. Maybe too edgy for old fuddy duddy like me, and therefore perfect for today’s teens with short attention span, but very entertaining nonetheless: Link – Thanks Nathalie!
*Be sure to "spin" the first clip, titled The Affair, to see what’s hiding behind the door…
