Adorable Legend Of Zelda Animated Short

This great Legend Of Zelda trailer was created by Joel Furtado for a game called The Lost Oracle, a sequel to The Wind Waker that doesn’t exist, at least not yet, because Nintendo might decide to do a sequel when they see this great animated short!

Resident Evil 6 Trailer Finds The Series Returning To Its Roots

Posted by Zeon Santos in Entertainment, Gaming, Science Fiction, Video Clips on January 23, 2012 at 12:01 am

(YouTube Link)

If you’re tired of the zombie-less, cinematic cutscene instead of visceral gameplay direction that the Resident Evil video game series has been heading in over the years, then you’re in for a treat when the newest incarnation (#6) is released in spring 2012.

Taking the series back to it’s roots promises to be a horrifying experience, full of zombies, giant genetic monstrosities and hardcore combat. Personally, I blame the movies for the direction that the games have been going in since their release, and this trailer shows that the game designers aren’t content with letting their zombified series turn into schlocky Hollywood drivel without a bloody battle.

I can’t wait to get my hands on this one and start splitting some heads, even if that split head grows fangs and bites back!

The Hobbit Trailer Gets The Sweded Treatment

Posted by Zeon Santos in Book & Literature, Entertainment, Film, Video Clips on January 12, 2012 at 3:26 pm

(YouTube Link)

It seems like every movie trailer with any trace of geek interest gets sweded by fans then put on YouTube, so why should the trailer for the upcoming Peter Jackson film The Hobbit be left out?

Although this isn’t a traditional swede, and the filmmakers from MonkeyTheater take some liberties with the lines,  it’s still hilarious and entertaining to watch. My fav scene-when Bilbo is introduced to the dwarves. Haha, classic!

Lion King Meets The Dark Knight Rises Trailer

Posted by Zeon Santos in Entertainment, Film, Video Clips on January 4, 2012 at 11:18 pm

(YouTube Link)

Anticipation for the new Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises has spawned so many parodies and mashups that it seems like a new one is springing up every week. This one’s all about the Lion King, though, and that makes it stand out from the rest in my opinion.

Watch as Simba’s fate takes a turn for the worse, and laugh as voices from the movie trailer are cleverly synced to the mouth shapes of animated animals!

This Trailer For Kiki Trick Is Utter Madness

Posted by Zeon Santos in Entertainment, Gaming, Video Clips on December 29, 2011 at 1:56 pm

(YouTube Link)

This trailer for the upcoming video game release Kiki Trick will have you wondering just WTF is going on. The game is from the makers of Wario Ware, which is full of crazy moments and utter nonsense, so the fact that this trailer is so off the wall is not surprising.

What is a surprise, however, is the fact that this trailer somehow represents actual gameplay footage! What in the world is this game going to make you do, cure a stomach ache by taking antacids, or telling a scary story while huddled around a candle?

The Kiki Trick team sure has stepped up the lunacy scale, and even Japanese gamers are scratching their heads on this one. Enjoy two minutes of madness, Japanese gamer style.

Trailer Cats Takes On The Dark Knight Rises

A furry Alfred, Bane purring away as he stalks his prey, man there is something adorably hilarious about replacing the cast of the Dark Knight Rises with kittehs! And we all know that kittehs have taken the interwebs by storm, so why should Hollywood be any different?

Dark Knight Rises Trailer, Sweded Edition

Posted by Zeon Santos in Entertainment, Film, Video Clips on December 23, 2011 at 11:50 pm

(YouTube Link)

Everybody’s getting ready to see what the new Batman movie will be like, some are hoping it fails while others (myself included) pray that it’s as good as the first two or better.

The folks that made this sweded version of the Dark Knight Rises trailer obviously have love for the film franchise, but that doesn’t stop them from having a bit of fun with the whole Bane’s voice thing, as well as putting some sweet cornball animation into the mix! Behold, and be amused!

New Trailer For The Dictator Is Timely Fun

Leave it to Sasha Baron Cohen, the guy behind Borat and Ali G, to make light of an uncomfortable situation with broad humor which will allow those being lampooned to laugh at themselves, although ruthless dictators are some of the toughest nuts to crack. Watch this trailer for The Dictator and bask in the glory of global unrest-themed ridiculousness.

Scary Left 4 Dead Fan Film Trailer

Posted by Zeon Santos in Entertainment, Film, Gaming, Video Clips on December 12, 2011 at 11:51 pm

(YouTube Link)

It looks like Bill wasn’t lucky enough to survive a recent encounter with the undead in this Left 4 Dead fan film trailer from Airsoft GI and Northern Five Entertainment, based on the popular zombie apocalypse themed video game.

This trailer would make a great cut scene for Left 4 Dead gameplay after a member of the group dies. Man, i’d be bummed too if one of the four survivors in my group is now a buffet for the infected, and it’s probably my fault. The full length fan film is going to be released soon, and so far it looks like gloomy goodness.

All of the games in the Katamari Damacy series have been strange to say the least, so I guess Namco Bandai figured “why not make a commercial as strange as our game?” Well, they have definitely succeeded with this billiards inspired promo, which features a pool shark slowly transforming into the Prince of the Cosmos.

Strange Movie Trailers From GhallyWood

Posted by Zeon Santos in Entertainment, Film, Gaming, Video Clips on November 20, 2011 at 11:21 pm

(YouTube Link)

This trailer from GhallyWood, or Ghana, Africa is off the hook crazy. The first feature, called Devil May Cry 1&2, was taken to be a film adaptation of the video game franchise, but seems more like an urban horror tale featuring a devil and some sweet sword fighting.

The second feature, called the Killer 1&2, seems to be about a bloodthirsty lion and a giant mallet flying around trying to bonk people in the head. There’s a lot of head bonking and people yelling, and some of the worst computer animation you’ve ever seen. But hey, at least they’re trying to make films of their own in Ghana, and they sure seem to have the imagination.

Skyrim Trailer-Retro Edition

Posted by Zeon Santos in Entertainment, Gaming, Video Clips on November 14, 2011 at 11:59 pm

(YouTube Link)

This is what Elder Scrolls: Skyrim would have looked like if it had been released in the 1980s, complete with cheesy 8-bit soundtrack and glorious pixelated graphics.

This fun parody trailer pays homage to such classic video games as: Legend Of Zelda, Duck Hunt, SkiFree, and Final Fantasy. Maybe the team at Bethesda should take a break from making hi-resolution games and explore their pixelated roots.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney-The Movie Trailer

Posted by Zeon Santos in Entertainment, Film, Gaming, Video Clips on November 10, 2011 at 11:34 pm

(YouTube Link)

This production of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is not a fan film, nor is this a parody trailer meant strictly for the interwebs. This is a big budget motion picture, directed by Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer, Audition) and based on the Nintendo DS game series by Capcom.

Maybe the Japanese can make a decent movie adaptation of a video game series, since Hollywood never seems to get it right.

Mario’s brother Luigi once had his day in the sun, thanks to a Nintendo Gamecube game called Luigi’s Mansion, in which Luigi wins a haunted mansion and must rescue Mario from his ghostly captors using a vacuum pack to bust the spooks. Sounds like the perfect game to turn into a live action movie, right? Well, watch this spoof trailer made by YouTube user SAXjewell and see what you think.

Bizarre Trailer For Upcoming Game NeverDead

Posted by Zeon Santos in Entertainment, Gaming, Video Clips on September 22, 2011 at 10:14 pm

Who knew that breathing new life into the survival horror genre meant bringing utterly bizarre elements, including a morbidly obese chicken faced demon, into the mix and acting like they should still be scary?

The developers at Konami appear to have dropped one too many doses while making the upcoming game NeverDead, and the amount of crossover hybrid elements make the game that much stranger. What is this, Final Fantasy In Wonderland after the Zombie Apocalypse?

E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, the popular Steven Spielberg movie from 1982, gets a sequel – at least in the form of a very well done well-done fake trailer. The name of the “film” is E.T. X: Extinction.

Considering the amount of time it must have taken to make this clip, it looks like the Biggest Fan of E.T. is up for some competition.
