Here’s another snowman crime scene sure to make Calvin and Hobbes very happy. They’re impaled on the Ellifrett Structure at the University of Wyoming, and I can’t think of a more festive way to greet the students during the holidays, aside from staging a Santa Claus crash scene on the football field!

Boy, The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man sure is cute when he’s not stomping around terrorizing a city with his sugary goodness! For those of you with snow, you’re lucky because you can make your own geeky snowman, unlike we Southern Californians whose only knowledge of snow comes from the movies and tv shows. We’ll just have to settle for sculpting our mashed potatoes into something cool…

I Can Has Cheezburger has a collection of snowmen that resemble cats you may know. This one, of course, is Simon’s Cat. There are also snow replicas of Garfield, Longcat, and a reasonable facsimile of Maneki Neko (without the raised hand), among others. Link

Nick and Anna Berte of Bel Air, Maryland built a giant snowman and rigged it with a flamethrower inside! Link

The comic strip Calvin & Hobbes often included Calvin’s disturbing snowmen. We’ve previously featured one such scene recreated with real snowmen, but WebUrbanist has a post filled with them.
It’s beginning to look a lot like winter in some areas, and run-of-the-mill snowmen are popping up here and there. Bad Astronomer Phil Plait got geekily creative and made a Dalek out of snow! Link -via Geeks Are Sexy
Flickr user roguebantha_1138 spent two hours assembling this snowman that looks like a LEGO minifig.

If you have this Snowman Snow Globe from Hallmark Cards, beware! The jumbo-sized snow globe can act as a magnifying glass when exposed to sunlight and ignite nearby materials!
