The Chariot is Exmovere’s vision for the future of the mobility scooter. Like a Segway PT, it’s guided by movements in the hips and lower torso to signal direction and speed. As a result, users have both hands available for other tasks. There are two videos and more pictures at the link.

Asimo asked for an office chair, so Honda made him one. This Segway for even lazier people follows in the footsteps of other interesting but unnecessary balancing acts: A robot that balances on a ball, the hands free transporter, and the even dorkier Segseat.

The EniCycle, invented by Aleksander Polutnik, has a three-hour battery charge and keeps upright through the use of gyroscopes (like the Segway). It’s not yet in production, but there are currently two working models. Video of them in action at the link.

Hello, everyone! It’s time for Neatorama and Hobotopia’s Caption Monkey game. I don’t know the background story of this photo, the LiveJournal user who posted it only mentioned that it was taken in Seattle.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to provide the caption. Funniest caption wins an original Laugh-Out-Loud Cat cartoon by Adam Koford.
For inspiration, definitely check out Adam’s blog. Good luck!
Update 1/20/09 – Adam has picked the winner! Congratulations to Jay L. who won with this gem: “What!?! IT’s safer than pushing it with the car.”
