Eric Power of EricPowerUp blog recreated his favorite fatalities from the video game Mortal Kombat II with paper.

Just in time for the release of the new Harry Potter movie, enjoy artist Brittney Lee’s great artwork made from paper trimmings. She’s made other works based on popular movies out side of the series too, just in case you aren’t a fan of the wizarding school series.

I was quite blown away by the intricate details of Charles Clary’s hand cut paper art. Design Milk recently caught up with him in this exclusive interview:
What do you enjoy most about working on these installations and why?
It’s pretty much a love/hate relationship with my work but I love everything about making my installations. Hate only comes in when I’ve spent 60 or more hours on one piece and it’s still not done. I mean each installation can have as many as 4000 individual cut sheets of paper, up to 30 panels, and over 14,000 spacers The whole process becomes very meditative, whether its cutting and sanding my supports, or spending days meticulously cutting paper, or cutting all the polystyrene spacers that go in between each layer everything takes so much time that I have to fall in love with it or I’d go crazy.

If you’re in the Netherlands, check out the 2010 Holland Paper Biennial which is running through September 12. There you’ll find some of the most fascinating paper artwork from more than 30 artists. If you can’t make it there (like me, *sob*), you just have to make do with some online pics:

Artist Don Lucho has created “Casa de Karton”: an entire apartment (including a toilet, a bed, and even utensils) out of paper and cardboard. While his motivation is unclear, it’s still pretty impressive.
The apartment has all the furniture and other items that a kitchen or a bedroom is expected to have. Being in these “carton rooms” will make you feel like you’re a part of a drawing.
Beside the house he has also made a car wreck out of carton, and placed it on the street so it looks realistic.
Check out the artist’s Flickr stream here.

Whoever thinks paper is boring has obviously never seen the Web Designer Depot blog post featuring 100 examples of paper artworks. The methods and styles of each artist vary greatly, but they are all delightfully beautiful and inspired.
A sheet of paper may be nothing more than a medium upon which you scribble notes and doodle the occasional design, but to a paper artist it represents something that can be folded, twisted and turned into anything. Check out the work of ten talented paper artists, each with their own unique style.

We’ve featured a lot of cool and neat stuff on Neatorama, but I dare say this is really hard to beat. Behold, the embossed drawings of Simon Schubert: Link – via Paper Forest
Super Punch blog has a neat post about Papershapers, a paper art exhibition as sponsored by Scion Space and curated by Eric Nakamura of Giant Robot.
The art exhibit features the artwork of Shin Tanaka, Polly Verity, Annie Vought, Ryohei Tanaka, Hunter Stabler, Richard Sweeney, Peter Callesen, Brian Dettmer, Ana Serrano, and Mu Pan.
The image to the left is called The Sharp-Beaked Hound of Zeus, a marvelous papercraft by artist Polly Verity.
We posted about Jen Stark’s amazing construction paper art a while ago on Neatorama, but we’ve just run across her interview by ArtStreet on WLRN South Florida.
It’s definitely worth another look: Hit play or go to Link [YouTube] | Jen Stark’s website
I was going to call it a night when I decided to check one more link. I’m so glad I did because that’s when I ran across this amazing papercraft artwork by Russian artist Yulia Brodskaya.
Her website is a little bit slow, but it’s worth the wait: Link – via Drawn!
