This summer… Stacy tidies up her yard as she tries to sell her house.

Yeah, my summer isn’t shaping up to be very exciting. But I can at least make it sound exciting, and so can you, by adding the hashtag #thissummer to the end of your Tweets. France-based telecom company Orange may pick up your Tweet and give it the movie treatment, making it sound like your lazy summer by the pool should actually involve car chases and harrowing escapes from death. I submitted the insurance one – you can follow me on Twitter to see if it gets picked up! And be sure to let us know if yours is used. We’d love to hear a trailer for your summer.

Sean Michael Ragan of Make read that it was possible to dry and shape the skin of an orange into a functional box. Although his is not as impressive as the one above, he was able to prove that it could be done. Ragan writes:
The original description mentions that the peels are “squeezed thin” after soaking, but before forming and drying, which is something I haven’t attempted yet. How, I wonder, do you squeeze an intact hemispherical citrus peel into a thin layer without damaging it?

This video shows a man balancing stacks of oranges on the forepaws of his cats. Question: how does one learn that one’s cats have this talent?

A candle made out of an orange? I think I’d like to try this. The ingredients are things you probably have around the house now, and the instructions are so simple they are related almost completely in photographs at Snowhite Blog. Link -Thanks, Kittens Pet Team!

If you must know, the first is a .223 Remington and the last two are .444 Marlin. Probably didn’t make much difference to the orange. Link |
