The advertising team behind Old Spice deodorant are continuing with their hilarious, tongue-in-cheek campaign by releasing a limited edition deodorant holding bear statue for the 2011 holiday season. So, if you’re worried about someone breaking in and stealing your deodorant, this guy and his toothy grin have got you covered.
Fabio couldn’t hold a candle to the Old Old Spice Guy, but Grover… well, Grover might be a worthy competitor.
That Fabio is everywhere lately, isn’t he? And now he’s on KOIN-TV in Portland, Ore., doing the weather (Portland is home to Wieden + Kennedy, the ad agency responsible for the Old Spice ads). It’s fantastic. Perhaps my favorite line: “It’s very sunny today and it feels so nice on Fabio’s skin. Thank you, sun.” But I’m also fond of “Very romantic, Fabio hair blowing, lots and lots of wind, and pushing the storm front right up into Canada. I’m so sorry, Canada.”
The US has Isaiah Mustafa; the rest of the world has this. It’s an ad for Old Spice Danger Zone that airs various other nations. Funny, yes, but I think America got the better end of the deal. -via The Daily What
Our Muppet friend Grover is the Old Spice Guy in this charming parody. Did you know Grover has his own Facebook page? -via reddit
Cthulhu as a pitchman? Maybe he just wants to show off his abs. Still, be warned of the “unspeakable horror” to come. From the folks at Gods Playing Poker. Link -Thanks, Michael!
In case you missed the week’s worth of Old Spice Guy videos, this brilliant remix will get you up to speed and have you dancing around the room.

Hello scholars. Look at your grades. Now look at mine. Now back at your grades. Now back to mine. Sadly, they’re not like mine. But if you stopped studying in a cave and started studying like me, they could be like mine.
The Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University made this commercial promoting itself in imitation of the popular Old Spice commercials.

Old Spice has recently released a series of Manmercials, nonsensically funny 30-second ads for its new body wash, with the following messages:
"We’re not saying this body wash will make your man smell into a romantic millionaire jet fighter pilot, but we are insinuating it."
"Don’t smell like sunsets and baby powder. Smell like jet fighters and punching."
"What’s better than seeing a hot girl on a beach? Nothing. Nothing is better. Maybe nachos. A hot girl lying on nachos. But that’s impossible. "
Now that’s advertising! And by the way, I’m on a horse.
So. John recently posted about Jeff Burk’s novel Shatner Quake, in which William Shatner (William Shatner? William Shatner. WILLIAM SHATNER!) battled all characters he ever played, after a failed terrorist attack by the Campbellians (who worships Bruce Campbell).
Though I haven’t read the novel, I immediately feel that this is an unwarranted attack on Bruce. First, take a look at the clip below, then tell me, is this the kind of man that can summon the Army of Darkness? Or cavort with The Evil Dead?
Duran Duran has got nothin’ on Bruce Campbell (plus, he probably smells good!)
