Artist artist Julien Bazinet found himself wondering what would happen if The Peanuts gang were mixed in with the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. The resulting comics are funny and cute, particularly little Snoopy posing as Cthulhu.

There’s not much to say about this infinity tentacle other than it was created by DeviantArt user Andrew Strauss and that it is so delightfully geeky that it had to be featured here on Neatorama.

I love this delightfully clever H.P. Lovecraft bento box by The Nghbrhood complete with a green hot dog Cthulhu and terrified egg people. I’ d be so jealous if I was one of this kid’s school friends.

Very busy artist Mike Bukowski has a project going in which he is illustrating each and every creature found in the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. In many cases, he has only a short description (or sometimes none at all) to work with, but they all seem to be at home in the nightmares those stories can induce. Picture is Deep One, from The Shadow Over Innsmouth. Some images are NSFW. Link -via Laughing Squid

Sock monkeys are so passe, the new hotness is sock Cthulhus. Lear to make your own with this helpful book, Snip, Burn, Solder, Shred, that can also teach you how to build your own electric guitar, kites and screen printed tee shirts. Really though, doesn’t the Cthulhu sock toy make it worth it on its own?
Because this is what you want to smell like:
A creeping, wet, slithering scent, dripping with seaweed, oceanic plants and dark, unfathomable waters.
Available from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, the scent of Chtulhu is $15 for 5 milliliters or $25 for 10 milliliters. Link -via Simply Left Behind
Update 9/18/09 by Alex – The image on this post has been removed. It was a fan-made photoshop rendition without credit to the original artist. I’ve replaced it with a thumbnail of the original image of H.P. Lovecraft drawn by Bruce Timm, owned by Steven Gettis of Hey Oscar Wilde! blog – Thanks for the heads up, Steven!
