This poor little guy wandered into a woman’s yard in Australia due to it being a particularly hot day, so the woman decided to let him drink from the hose. Apparently koalas don’t understand how hoses work, because he gets more water on his arm than he does in his mouth!

I always read ZooBorns for their great pictures of adorable baby animals, but this cutie koala was so adorable that I couldn’t help but share him with all of you. For more precious pics, be sure to click on the link.

Asha was hit by two different cars one night. Fortunately, he was saved by a kindly stranger who brought him to a wildlife hospital. The center took care of his injuries and even gave him this stylish sweater for his recovery.
A sad koala eats an apple and looks back on days gone by. The glory days. Where did it all go wrong? Couldn’t say, but the photoshopping and the almost-but-not-quite Incredible Hulk hitchhiking theme music make this a masterpiece.
While the web is buzzin’ with the Epic Beard Man’s fight on an Oakland bus, (which is unshowable on Neatorama for obvious reasons if you’ve ever seen it), I prefer this one: when koalas fight, as seen on Robert Gale’s A Welsh View blog.

Koalas in the wild will normally have nothing to do with humans. The devastating fires in Australia are an extraordinary situation, which drove a little female koala named Sam to seek help from a firefighter. A picture taken of the event has made Sam an international star. Firefighter David Tree tells the story.
“I could see she had sore feet and was in trouble, so I pulled over the fire truck. She just plonked herself down, as if to say ‘I’m beat’,” he said.
“I offered her a drink and she drank three bottles.
“The most amazing part was when she grabbed my hand. I will never forget that.”
Sam now lives at the Mountain Ash Wildlife Shelter, where she was treated for burned paws. She is expected to recover and could be released back into the wild in about five months. Link -Thanks, Larfin Jackarse!

Global warming has an upside!
“It has been so hot in South Australia for over a week…40+ degrees Celsius everyday – 104 F, very dry also. These are the photos of a little Koala that just walked into the back porch of a home around the way looking for a bit of heat relief. The lady of the house filled up a bucket and this is what happened!”
