Would you get sick of eating the same thing for lunch every day for a month? One guy in Massachusetts seems to be so devoted to hot dogs that in celebration of National Hot Dog Month (yes seriously there is a National Hot Dog Month) he is doing just that.
NATICK, Mass., July 28 (UPI) — A Massachusetts man said he is touring the region’s hot dog eateries on his quest to eat a frankfurter a day for 31 days.
Rob Merlino, 47, of Natick, said he is celebrating July’s National Hot Dog Month by having one hot dog for lunch each day during the month, The Boston Globe reported Thursday.

The competitive eating legend Takeru Kobayashi was arrested when he rushed the stage of this year’s Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest. He had quit over a contract disagreement, and decided to pull a Kanye:
With the crowd chanting "Let him eat," Kobayashi ascended the stage and clung to the barricades while police tried to drag him away.
Some experts, including contest judge and competitive eating journalist Gersh Kuntzman, said Kobayashi’s arrest is a sign the famed athlete — who lost the prior three Nathan’s contests to Chestnut — is past his prime.
"What I saw were the actions of a desperate man," Kuntzman told AOL News.
