Sometimes it’s nice to be able to say a lot in only a few geeky words. If you need a little help getting your message across, try one of these designs by Illustrator Nicole Martinez, as seen over on Mental Floss.

Fan art gets a bad rap, but there are some skilled artists making these pieces here and there… and there are some darn funny mashup creations as well, like this Mario Fighter drawing by James Chung. If you want to see more great fan art creations, be sure to click the link.
If you like to wear your heart on your sleeve, but your heart just happens to rock a set of taped up glasses and a bow tie, then these fashion pieces are guaranteed to compliment your geekiest sensitivities. That same Etsy seller, SewOeno was also responsible for this exceptionally popular Game Boy dress.

For those who like old school Nintendo over Game Boys, you’re sure to love this awesome Nintendo controller dress by Liz Tan.

This knitted sweater vest by Happy Seamstress is an accurate replica of a screenshot of the original Mario Bros game.

Geek Dad has a list of one hundred skills that he thinks that every geek should know. A few examples:
26. Boot a computer off a thumb drive.
40. Transcode a DVD to play on a portable device.
71. Explain that the colours in a rainbow are roygbiv.
84. Know where your towel is and why it is important.
96. Have a documented plan on what to do during a zombie or robot uprising.
100. Get something on the front page of Digg.
What is your geek quotient? What would you add to the list?
io9 has pictures of 26 wedding cake toppers that geeks would enjoy, including Star Wars, Transformers, Stargate, Back to the Future, and zombie themes.
io9 uses the term “nerdiest”, but I pefer to be addressed as “geek”. The origin of the term — someone who would bite off the heads of chickens at carnival sideshows — seems a bit more fitting.
