Every year, this crafter makes a new sock monkey. I love this one, it’s the Hindu goddess of the arts, Sarasvati.

Real Superheroes Are A Little Crazy

Posted by Jill Harness in Cartoon & Comic, Crime & Law, Odd News on December 29, 2008 at 9:52 pm

While I was on vacation this Christmas, I was lucky enough to grab the newest article of Rolling Stone and read “The Legend of Master Legend.” I haven’t read anything so funny in a long time.

I highly recommend reading this brilliant article that details the exploits of real life superheroes. Their main focus is on the man on the right in the photo, his name is Master Legend and he makes his own weapons to fight crime. And he give socks to homeless people to help fight staph infections.

While their hearts are in the right place, I have to believe there’s less insane ways to save the world. Still, it’s hard to resist adoring their great stories:

There was the time Master Legend and the Ace shut down a crack den; the drug kingpin they put out of business; the money Master Legend forcibly retrieved from a thief who stole from a handicapped Vietnam vet; and the recent mission when the Justice Force had to “put the stomp on a child molester and his gang of crackheads.” They had a plan, but things went awry when Master Legend’s brother was captured in the thick of battle by the child molester, whom they call Tree Man Roy.

UPDATE: For more pictures and a touch more info from the author of the article itself, be sure to visit this link.

Cell Phones: Vexing and Insolent

I’ve just recently discovered PassiveAggressiveNotes.com - it’s hysterical and I’m completely hooked. It reminds me of that episode of The Office where Pam posts the note about how disgusting the microwave is, but everyone just gets irritated with the anonymous person who posted the note.

Knitted Horse Head Says A Mouthful

Posted by Jill Harness in Animal, Arts & Crafts, Movies & SciFi on December 3, 2008 at 9:01 pm

If you need to send someone a message, sometimes the only thing that will get through to them a bloody horse head. If you’re like me though, that sawing through bone of a prized race horse is just too messy and requires too much elbow grease. So here’s a vegan-friendly option for all you aspiring mobsters, knit your own decapitated horse head with this lovely pattern.

This is adorable, Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg are Bonding through mashed potatoes. My favorite part is Snoop demanding black pepper instead of white pepper.

Note: This not intended to take sides. There could just as well be one like this for Obama I don’t know…..I just happen to find this one. Remember, it’s only for fun.

Stunned & Frozen Cat ! - video powered by Metacafe

This is one strange cat. It looks like it’s in some sort of trance or seizure but it reacts to physical touch. I also noticed that it doesn’t blink either. Then, all of a sudden, up it goes as if nothing was. Weird.

This got me laughing. Here is Sameer Mishra who won the Scripps 2008 National Spelling Bee. These kids get tough words but this word stumped Sameer … at least for a short moment.

Lionel Richie On helium

I don’t know what kind of silly German talk show this is but somehow, the host managed to get Lionel Richie to sing “Hello” with his lungs filled with helium. Odd as it may seem, it’s quite funny.

It’s more like Frozen Dentures.

This novelty ice cube tray is made from soft food-safe synthetic rubber that will allow you to freeze up a batch of Frozen Smiles and drop them into any glass as a gag.

Ever have a bit too much to drink only to end up getting double vision? Sure it’s funny when you’re drunk but this neat website has a very cool collection of pictures (presumably done with Photoshop) that will have you focus your eyes. Some of them are pretty funny as per the example above.

Here is a neat website that allows you to swap hairstyles with celebrities. For example, how would Will Smith look if he sported Hillary Clinton’s hair? You can also upload photos of yourself for the fun of it.

Man Banned From Breaking Wind in a Club

Posted by Algonkin in Sports on December 5, 2007 at 8:01 am

Fox A social club in Devon UK, has banned a 77-year-old man from breaking wind while indoors.

Maurice Fox received a letter from Kirkham Street Sports and Social Club in Paignton asking him to consider his actions, which “disgusted” members.

Mr Fox, a club regular for 20 years, said: “I am happy to oblige them, there is no problem. I do get a bit windy - I am an old fart now.”

He said he had to leave the club about three times a night and added “I think someone has complained about the noise. I am a loud farter, but there is no smell.”
