Ever want to make your own sweet Cyclops visor? Well then head over to Lounge Geeks where you can learn how to make your own for less than $30. Now that’s a value for some sweet style.

If you put all ten together they spill out the entire inscription put on the inside of the classic One Ring. I don’t know about you other geek gals, but I’d love to wear these to a fancy dress occasion…they’re practically jewelry after all.

If you love race cars, then you might just like these fantastic Prada pumps based on the some of the most popular cars of the 50′s and 60′s. It’s a great blend between classic and modern styles.

Back in August, I showed you guys the Angry Birds bra, but for those gals who prefer old school games to those available through smart phones, you might prefer this fun Pac Man bra instead.

No word yet on whether or not the TSA will let you get on a plane with these 3D gun nails, but then again, it’s going to be pretty hard to load them assuming you have these on both hands, so maybe you’d be more of a threat to yourself than to other people.

If you’re looking for something to do with that ridiculously expensive Louis Vuitton handbag you have lying around well look no further, because artist Billie Achilleos has some grand ideas about how to give those old bags new life.
This self-described “versatile artist and maker of things” has repurposed Vuitton items by cutting them up and making them into sculptures of animals. We first featured Billie here on Neatorama back in April, and she’s been hard at work since, so be sure to check out the link for her updated portfolio, which is full of repurposed creatures of fashion.

This strangely elegant looking dress was fashioned from 700 condoms by Vietnamese graphic design student Nguyen Minh Tuan, in honor of World AIDS Awareness Day.
These condoms may no longer be useful for preventing STDs or pregnancy, but the fact that they glow in the dark means you’ll still be the center of attention even after the lights go out.
When the Apple company was just beginning to take the home computing world by storm, they apparently thought it would be a good idea to try their hand at designing clothing as well.
These clothes are the ultimate in computing comfort, and nothing says 1986 like wrapping sweaters around yourself in strange places.
Popular fashion trends come and go in cycles, and once again we are seeing a trend of the “Native American look” in clothing, home furnishings, jewelry, and bedding. Some companies are running into legal trouble over their merchandise, as there are laws and trademark restrictions against products attributed to Native Americans. Even when the letter of the law is followed, the trend is causing bad feelings about the appropriation of a culture.
“The problem,” says Jessica R. Metcalfe, a Turtle Mountain Chippewa and doctor of Native American studies who teaches at Arizona State University and blogs about Native American fashion designers at Beyond Buckskin, “is that they’re putting it out there as ‘This is the native,’ or ‘This is native-inspired’. So now you have non-native people representing us in mainstream culture. That, of course, gets tiring, because this has been happening since the good old days of the Hollywood Western in the 1930s and ’40s, where they hired non-native actors and dressed them up essentially in redface.
“The issue now is not only who gets to represent Native Americans,” Metcalfe says, “but also who gets to profit.”
Collector’s Weekly has an extensive article about the history of the trade in Native American style, and how the controversy is playing out today. Link -Thanks, Lisa!
Lexus claims that their new CT Hybrid is 90% recyclable, and they aim to prove it by having designers create fashion art pieces out of various car parts for “The Lexus Fashion Workshop”.
The pieces will be shown in the January 2012 issue of Vogue magazine, and there’s no word yet on whether the automotive fashion pieces will then be turned back into a car and driven away after the photo shoot. This line gives new meaning to the phrase “check out her headlights.”
Further proof that the future isn’t as cool, or cheesy according to your taste, as everyone thought it would be. The top fashion designers of the 1930s contributed their idea of 21st century fashion to this newsreel, and I for one am very glad that they were wrong about some things, or else men would dress like astronaut clowns and women would be wearing aluminum dresses!

It’s one thing to turn some delicate piece of paper into a small papercraft, but to make something as detailed and elaborate as a Victorian dress is a completely different matter entirely. Artist Susan Stockwell has been creating such incredible designs as the one above for over ten years.
Photographer Dennis Ziliotto is a great artist and these surreal shots featured on BuzzFeed, inspired by Alice In Wonderland, are simply stunning.
Have you met Luna the Fashion Kitty yet? She is indeed the most stylish kitten around, with a full wardrobe of clothing, and BuzzFeed’s collection of photos of her is simply irresistible.
This beautiful My Little Pony poodle was spotted over at the British Dog Creative Stylist of the Year competition. For more delightfully goofy pictures of posh pups, check out the link and enjoy The Telegraph’s slideshow, which also includes pictures of a dragon dog and a Lady Gaga poodle.
Ring Pops are fun, but I light up candy rings are way more fashionable. These would be good for kids, but they would even be awesome for adults going out at night. If you want to make your own, Instructables can teach you how.

Projects like this make me wish I was a better artist, but alas, I think the best hand-painted design I’d be able to come up with would be a smiley face. Oh well, at least us non-artist types can still appreciate looking at these awesome hand-painted Street Fighter shoes.
If you’ve ever wanted to make your own nyan cat scarf, now you can with the help of this pattern available for sale on Etsy. Of course, if you can’t knit, you’ll just have to deal with admiring this picture instead.

Just about every woman has a ring with jewels on it, but these rings on WebUrbanist are really unique. From the weird and creepy, like the belly button, tooth and pimple rings on the bottom row of the montage, to the cool projector, architecture and book ones on the top row, there are all kinds of fascinating looks for women brave enough to wear them.
Etsy seller ToScarboroughFair makes utterly adorable hats for kittens, but I think the truly amazing thing about her shop isn’t her extensive collection of fashions, but how great her model is. Visit her shop for more delightful images and inspired hats.

Two
years ago, Times reporter Luke Leitch's co-worker was on maternity
leave and so he was asked to go on a mission worthy of a Force Recon Marine:
cover a round of womenswear shows.
Luke returned (by the skin of his teeth, I'm sure) to provide the rest of mankind (the straight and male kind, obviously) with invaluable insight into a woman's wardrobe:
I have now spent two years embedded deep in female territory: in fashion, with a capital F. And I have started to get the hang of it. What has become clear is that fashion is to many women what sport is to many men: a pastime, a passion, a shared language, a form of self-definition, and a temporary escape from the opposite sex, all rolled into one deeply satisfying whole.
Most men regard this female passion from a default position of distrust, derision or at best patronising tolerance. Even the cleverest males are liable to take this line. Kant both derided and distrusted fashion: “[It] belongs under the heading of vanity…and also under the heading of folly.” Nietzsche preferred to patronise: “Comparing man and woman in general, one may say that woman would not have the genius for finery in general if she did not have the instinct for a secondary role.”
I very much doubt that either of these great chin-strokers spent any time contemplating the interior life of a woman via the interior of her wardrobe. Because men, when they think of women’s fashion at all, tend to see it only in terms of how it makes them feel—whether it arouses, confuses, or repels them—rather than considering what it makes a woman feel.

This video is a fast-moving historical fashion show with dancing! The Viral Factory produced it for the grand opening of Westfield Stratford City on September 13th, which I believe is a shopping center, although it’s kind of hard to tell from the website. I love how personal this photo-printed ribbon is. Sure you might have to look around for a while to find some actual film and a camera that uses it, but once you do, you can use the negatives to create your own unique and beautiful hair ribbon. Learn how to make your own over at the link.

I love Pete & Pete, but this great MTV article has a lot of good points about how the show inspired one of the biggest trends of the last ten years. It makes sense too. After all, most of today’s hipsters grew up watching the show, sucking in its tacky fashions and deeper idiosyncrasies.
