10 Most Celebrated TV Show Hangouts

Posted by Queuebot in Movies & SciFi on April 25, 2009 at 12:24 pm

We often forget about how iconic the "hangout" is to the TV sitcoms.  In a lot of ways, the hangout becomes a character.  Anyway, this list of 10 most celebrated TV show hangouts includes the Bluth’s Banana Stand. How awesome is that!? "The big yellow joint…"

We tend to get drawn into our favorite TV shows; we know what the characters do for a living and are privy to their groups of friends. But in order to really love a sitcom or dramatic series, it must be set to perfection—in other words, it’s all about the hangout spots. From the Three’s Company bar, Regal Beagle, to Beverly Hills, 90210’s diner, the Peach Pit, these renowned places—where our favorite small-screen characters gathered—ignite big memories for those of us who loyally tuned in. Reminisce with us as you check out these 10 famous spots where love, laughs and drama all unfolded—and where everyone definitely knew one another’s names.

Famous Last Tweets

Posted by Queuebot in Funny on April 24, 2009 at 9:16 pm

We’re all gonna die someday. What will be our last tweet before we do? I found this pretty hilarious. Takes a look back at what might have been tweeted had twitter been around in years past.

A day rarely goes by without word of a new celebrity signing up to join the Twitter revolution. Everyone from mainstream personalities, like Shaq and Jimmy Fallon, to YouTube stars, like iJustine and Michael Buckley, are microblogging personal details that were formerly accessible only to the most ardent stalker/fan. Allowing celebrities to reach out to their fan base in such a direct manner must keep their management teams in high alert, which makes us wonder what would’ve happened if troubled stars from years past had known the power of Twitter. We did a little soul/Twitter searching and came up with a collection of “Famous Last Tweets” that sadly never were.

Extreme Dog Houses

Posted by Queuebot in Everything Else on April 14, 2009 at 7:54 pm

What on earth possessed Rachel Hunter to create a $30,000 dog house for her pooch?  From the looks of this list, she’s not alone, but seriously!  There has to be some mortgage/pork barrel joke here :)

The size (and cost) of these canine abodes is nothing to bark about—especially considering all the thought and handiwork behind them. While we’re the first to admit that the dwellings are a bit over the top, we have to confess that we do tend to indulge in a little pet spoiling from time to time. From the über-chic French Chateau dog house to Rachel Hunter’s Mexican Hacienda dog house, this type of pampering may be outside our price range, but it’s still fun to dream. Check out the pet palaces below to discover new ways to let sleeping dogs lie.
