Marshmallows have a rough life; their best case scenario is to get eaten. In inexperienced hands, the little white bundles of sugar can meet a fiery end, as Etsy seller Brittany illustrates with her marshmallow plushes.

This is why I like thick, soft crusts over thin, crunchy ones. They’re so much more comfortable. Extra cheese is nice for that gooey feeling around my limbs, too. Etsy seller brookish7 made this sleeping bag with all of our favorite toppings for her BFA thesis.

Captain Kirk, Commander Spock, Dr. McCoy, and Ensign Snuggles are beaming down to the planet. They will no doubt all return safely.
Check out the rest of Etsy seller Jennifer Hugon’s store, which includes critters like this in the form of Batman, Robin, Spock, Frankenstein’s monster, Cylons, and zombies.

Etsy seller Beth Tastic took photographs and coated them with resin to produce this gorgeous bracelet. It’d be a fine way to preserve special memories.

These action figures are dismounting an AT-AT, having ridden it into battle. Conan’s there, too. The Barbarian, not the comedian, although Conan O’Brien would be a good addition to this lamp by Etsy seller Zygmunt Jarzembowski.

Strictly speaking, the three zombies from the East didn’t arrive until much later, but it’s traditional to place them at Bethlehem on Christmas. Etsy sellers Robin and Zered follow in this tradition with this nativity set made from Sculpey clay.

Artist Miquette Breitenbach makes miniature “pot heads” set in tiny clay pots! They are a combination of clay, metal, and glass, and no two are alike. See a selection of existing pot heads at her Etsy store, Strawberry Anarchy. Link
Etsy seller Rebekka Ferbrache made this adorable little teapot. Do not try to stuff more than three cups of liquid inside.

You’d lose your head if it wasn’t stitched on. Thankfully, Kerri McAlprin has solved that problem with this clever necklace.

If you have a guest room, hang one of these mirrors in it. Don’t explain what it is. Deny that there’s a picture of a child and assert that it’s just a mirror. Thanks to the creative work of Etsy seller Sandy Ervin, you’ll have a good prank in the works.

Etsy seller Faustus70 started out with a Nerf Barricade. He turned it into this beauty with slats from an old wooden chair and aluminum sheeting riveted into place by hand. The scope, like the gun, is completely functional at a magnification of x3.

Babies are so cute, and young Star Wars villains are no exception. Etsy seller Octopus Tree House made prints of Darth Vader, Jabba the Hutt, Boba Fett, and a Tusken raider before they were famous.
Etsy seller ToScarboroughFair makes utterly adorable hats for kittens, but I think the truly amazing thing about her shop isn’t her extensive collection of fashions, but how great her model is. Visit her shop for more delightful images and inspired hats.

Best Quiet Book ever… and Star Wars-obsessed moms and dads will love it too. There’s even a kid-friendly version of Leia’s slave outfit. Unfortunately (or not for those of us who like to craft), it looks like Etsy seller JulieBell isn’t selling a finished version, just a PDF pattern so you can make your own. Check out the entire finished book at Julie’s blog.
Sadly, the original outboard motor isn’t inside the case. Etsy seller windchimesandmore replaced it with a small 2-cycle engine. Still, it blends vigorously and would make a fine conversation piece at parties.
Etsy seller Kevin Glenn made these two outstanding Nintendo case mods that resemble Star Wars vessels. The TIE fighter is a Nintendo 64 and a 1995 Hasbro kit. The snowspeeder is a Mini Super NES with a 1995 Hasbro T-47 kit. Both are fully functional (as gaming consoles).
Etsy seller Love & A Sandwich is currently sold out of these cute works of embroidery and appliqué, but she still has available a hoop featuring Beast from the X-Men. Still, I have my heart set on the Fuzzball hoop. Link -via The Mary Sue
In his Alternate Histories prints series, Etsy seller Matthew Buchholz imagines small, subtle changes in American history as reflected in iconic prints. Here, for example, is a picture of the massive statue Emperor Krgyyx Threatening the World. Of course, if you live in New York City, you can just look at the real thing, although the visitors’ center is currently closed for renovations. Link -via The Breda Fallacy
Knitted Princess Leia buns are so yesteryear. What you need is this nice, ear-warming Knit Vulcan Hat, or “Spock Touque.” Live long and keep warm! These caps are hand-made by Etsy seller Becca Stundel, who runs FiveCornersDesign. Link -via Geeks Are Sexy
Itsa Mario, as a cute and cuddly cube! No arms, no legs, no problem cause the only adventure this little guy is going on happens in the dreamworld. Sugarcubes handmade sells all kinds of cuddly cubic characters on Etsy, from Link to Harry Potter, and their adorability cannot be denied! However, Mario’s new cubic body may make it hard for him to slide down pipes…
Etsy seller Outofthisworldpinata makes rather creative piñatas, including this TIE fighter. There’s also a Kenny from South Park, which you can whack before saying the appropriate line. Link -via Technabob
Sometimes, tapping your fingers in bored frustration doesn’t really seem to make time more forward at a faster clip. This hand-cranked automaton by Etsy seller automatonman will probably help. Link -via Technabob
People look at you funny if you roll around in public in a realistic R2R2 costume. This sweater by Etsy seller Erica Schoenberger is a more discreet and possibly even workplace-friendly alternative. Link -via OhGizmo!
Are your shoes plain, but comfortable? Etsy seller pcbcreations has a solution to both of those problems. These sandals, like the other inventive works in his gallery, are made from printed circuit boards. Link -via DVICE
If you’ve read Neatorama long enough, you’ve undoubtedly seen plenty of dogs modeling for Etsy listings. Now there’s a blog chronicling the saddest of these poor puppies and it is hilarious. My only complaint, it doesn’t provide links to the actual Etsy pages. What if I want to make my dog this sad?

Etsy seller Elizabeth Kohn made a set of earrings that look like the piranha plants from Super Mario Bros. Ouch! Hopefully these don’t spit fireballs. Link -via reddit
I have a papillon dog, and in keeping with the original purpose of his breed, he just loves to crawl up in someone’s lap. When one isn’t available, this might be an acceptable substitute. Etsy seller XanARu, a professional dog photographer, makes beds that look like human laps. This one is called the “Urban Cowgirl” style. Link -via Blame It on the Voices
Provided that you’ve got a big budget planned for your wedding, Etsy seller melangerienyc has an original idea for invitations. She’ll make custom View-Master slides and package them with View-Masters in pretty boxes for you to distribute to your wedding guests. Link -via Doobybrain | Photo: Jen Huang

“Why should your plants stay at home?” asks Etsy artist Colleen Jordan. Thanks to her acrylic planter jewelry, they don’t have to. She also makes a brooch that I find a bit more wearable. Whether you get the necklace or the brooch/pin, you’ll have to supply your own plant, though Colleen does give tips on which ones work best.

Model maker Akinobu Izumi’s ‘A Tiny World In A Bottle’ series is just amazing. He has everything from jellyfish to skeletons to ships. They’re sometimes arranged on dirt and occasionally fixed in liquid parafin to create a floating effect. If you like them, be sure to check out his Etsy store where you can buy your own.
