NASA has released some cool audio files free to the public!
Here’s a collection of NASA sounds from historic spaceflights and current missions. You can hear the roar of a space shuttle launch or Neil Armstrong’s “One small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind” every time you get a phone call. Or, you can hear the memorable words “Houston, we’ve had a problem,” every time you make an error on your computer. We have included both MP3 and M4R (iPhone) sound files to download.
Now, if I only had a smart phone. Link -via mental_floss

If you or your children are tired of supermarket coloring books and their generic designs, or if you yourself like to doodle with color, try something a little more interesting. Illustrator Carlton Hibbert has a collection of artistic patterns that you can download, print, and color. Quite a few artists and illustrators have contributed to the collection, and all patterns are licensed under Creative Commons, which means you can use them freely. Link

Noah Dziobecki adapted the children’s book Goodnight Moon and set it in the Star Wars universe for his son’s birthday. Now his illustrations are available to download and print for yourself -free! Instructions for assembling the book are included. Link -via Boing Boing
Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) affects many computer users, and can be frequently associated with conventional mouse usage. Now there is a new version of Mouse Click available for those who may need the relief.
MouseClick waits until the mouse stops moving and sends a click. The application supports left, right and double clicks and when Smart Drag is selected MouseClick can drag windows, scrollbars and other elements.
MouseClick supports Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. Click the screenshot to enlarge them.
I assume it’s equipped to discern between a Link, and a link with a hover option. via Minimal. (Photo from jen_gingerich’s Photobucket album.)
