If Donkey Kong wasn’t a giant gorilla, but rather a lowly office worker whose promotion was given to a moustachioed employee named Mario, then the situation would probably play out just as it does in this spoof movie trailer for “Mr. Kong”. It’s a good thing nobody took his stapler!

To be fair, this tattoo will only make sense to those of you who have seen King of Kong and are familiar with Billy Mitchell’s obsessive Donkey Kong antics. If you haven’t seen the movie, go watch it and then revisit this post so you can laugh and laugh.
Ever seriously doubt the authenticity of the end of Donkey Kong, where Mario simply sidesteps the giant ape to free the lovely (if pixel-y) damsel in distress? Yeah, so did Dorkly. This one’s for all of the realists out there.

Via CrunchGrear, which found it on a list of ten pieces of furniture inspired by video games. I think that this may be the original page for the Donkey Kong shelves, but it’s written in German (?), so I’m not sure. Would any Neatoramanauts like to take a stab at translating it?
