He might not be able to spin webs, but he can certainly climb just as good as any full-blooded spider, which I’m sure helps him get home on a regular basis.
No, you never will actually catch those wipers little Bostie, at least not from the inside of the car. Even so, I support your dedication, especially considering how much it entertains us humans.

Has your Prozac stopped working? Then maybe these adorable little knitted plushies can sub in as your new happy pills -at least, for a while, since they probably won’t keep the serotonin levels up too long.
It takes a special kind of cat to enjoy snow, let alone frolic in banks so deep that only their tails can be seen, but these two kitty friends have finally found their element.

People of Walmart is soooo 2008. These days, it’s all about the dogs of the people of Walmart -now that’s a new whole new level of Walmart craziness. While there isn’t a whole website dedicated to this subset of insanity, Pets Lady has filtered through all the animal category of the site to find the best dog pictures ever taken at Walmart. And they are hilarious.
No, I’m not talking about Peewee’s Big Adventure being remade with a penguin in the lead role, although that would be pretty darn awesome. Unfortunately, this is a true tale involving a tiny fairy penguin being stolen from the zoo and chased by both sharks and dogs before being rescued and returned to his home.
On Saturday, three young men reportedly broke into the park and caused all sorts of mishchief, like swimming in the dolphin tank. On their way out, they nabbed the diminutive Dirk, for good measure. Their time with the small bird was apparently short lived, as the group are said to have released Dirk into the nearby Broadwater waterway.
The next day, a couple passing by the area saw Dirk being chased by a shark, which are known to swim around the Broadwater area. To make matters worse, a dog on the shore kept harassing the little bird when he tried to come ashore. The couple alerted SeaWorld officials who quickly responded, bringing the exhausted bird back to his home.
That’s a serious adventure for such a small little critter, especially one raised in a zoo and not accustomed to the harsh realities of being a wild creature.

“Come along children, just come on. No, you can make it. Your brothers and sisters were able to get over the curb you just aren’t trying hard enough.”
“But moooom, it’s too high. Can’t we just let this stranger help us?”
“Is that what you’re going to do whenever you’re in a jam, just wait for a human to help you? You know, that’s how your Uncle Arnold ended up becoming duck a la orange.”
“But moooooooooom, we can’t reach.”
“Ok, fine, let the human help you, but don’t come crying to me when they want to turn you into dinner for something called Christmas.”
They might not be real dresses, but as a geek gal, I sure wish some ambitious fashion designer would make these adorable drawings by illustrator Robin Kaplan into a reality. In the meanwhile, I guess we’ll have to appreciate the great drawings of girls wearing dresses inspired by Doctor Who, Star Wars, Pokemon and more for what they are.
I’ll be honest, I have no idea what’s going on with this little furball, but whatever it is, it’s pretty darned cute. Of course, if you know what he’s up to, let us know in the comments.

Silly rabbit, you got over the fact that Trix aren’t made for you and just moved on to yet another food not made for you. Bunnies and bananas, now that’s just plain goofy, and I’m not even going into the fact that you’re eating it while being held like a baby drinking a bottle. You poor confused thing.

So it’s not quite a ballet, but it’s certainly freaking precious. Just look at that lumpy little babe tip toe through the water.
Here’s a cute collection of famous artworks and cats striking the same poses. I found “Romeo And Juliet” by Ford Madox Brown particularly appealing, but you can see 21 such comparisons at Buzzfeed. Link
We know how they feel about pizza, mirrors and pumpkins, but how do they feel about Easter? As it turns out, big kitties like their special eggs just as much as house cats love it when you drop a chicken egg on the kitchen floor.
If you had a crush on the TARDIS from the Neil Gaiman episode of Doctor Who, well, you can now finally cuddle up and sleep with the it. Granted, this one is not the adorable girl from The Doctor’s Wife, but the sock monkey version is pretty darn cute anyway.

Easter may be over, but it’s never too late to appreciate adorably geeky Easter eggs like these. I don’t know about you guys, but mine wouldn’t last long after I tried to use Mario and Luigi to crush the villains and jump into the coin box.
These pugs are the most thugalicious pups I’ve ever seen and, as a result, they made what is probably the best music video ever. There is a bit of language in the song, but I that can be easily excused when the rappers are this cute.
Puppies wearing bunny ears on their collars romp with bunnies, chicks, and ducklings among colorful Easter baskets. This is so sweet that you won’t need any chocolate eggs or Peeps anymore. video by Devin Graham; original music by Stephen Anderson. -via The Daily What
Don’t you hate it when all of your loved ones die? Well, it could be worse, in the words of the adorable skateboarding kitty poster I had as a child “at least I look cute.” All of these precious little creations showing the saddest moments in great comic books, all drawn by Tony Fleec, certainly have that distinction at least.
Fleec also has the distinction of being the artist responsible for those great comic book teen novel covers John posted last week.
When you hear the name Prince Harry, you might be tempted to think of Princess Di’s youngest son, but why bother wasting your time with the royal family when you could look at these adorable pictures of a pygmy hippo bearing the same name? Unfortunately, little Harry’s mother didn’t feel the same:
The mother and calf were closely monitored, and after 5 hours of no feeding, the decision was made to pull the calf from its mom in the hopes of his survival. Harry was immediately weighed, wrapped in blankets and transported to the hand-rearing facility where he was fed. He is being hand-reared by very loving curator and caretaker, Toni Inggs.
Both Harry and his mother in fine health and Prince Harry seems to be doing just fine on his own.
Sloths are in for it this time, and by it I mean trouble. By next year they will be subjugated and bathed for the amusement of the masses, their cuteness extracted like visual Prozac.
You shouldn’t have been so darn adorable, little sloths, your relentless need to be cute has brought you under the radar of those who feed on cuteness like vampires.
If you want to survive you’d better get a pair of Groucho glasses and a baseball cap on right away. Better yet, hang on the back of a stinky critter, like a warthog, or a big brute that can offer you protection, like a hippo, and you might be okay.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you, I can sense marketable cuteness a mile away and you guys have that “it” factor. Better watch your backs, little guys, because the bathers are coming.
It can’t be said that they lack chemistry, that’s for sure.
While we’ve featured plenty of geeky weddings, I think this might be the first one based on science. And the theme penetrated every aspect of the wedding:
“They fell in love with the idea of the scientific geek wedding theme because of the incorporation of a lot of glass elements such as beakers, petri dishes, test tubes, eye droppers, which would all have very good light-catching elements,” writes Wedding Chicks. “All of these scientific elements were sourced from laboratory supply houses so that they would be 100% authentic.” When the guests arrived they were able to sign in at the Periodic Table of Elements!
What do you guys think? Geek chic or geek reek?

She’s oinky and she knows it. This little twelve day old piglet is still trying to get her footing down. Between her miniature size and precious little squeaks, she might just be the cutest pig on Earth.
Admit it, you read that headline in the voice of Crocodile Dundee, everyone does, except for those 20 year-olds who all just said “who?”…Back to the matter at hand, this isn’t a caterpillar, it’s actually a bunch of birds who apparently have no sense of personal space. The European Bee Eaters here resemble a crawly little butterfly larvae so much that the photographer, José Luis Rodríguez, decided to name the image Oruga de Plumas, or “caterpillar of feathers.”
Just kidding, there isn’t any droid activity going on with this bento box, just the most delicious Jawa you’ve ever seen. It’s hard to tell, but the guy is made from Philly-style tofurky, forbidden rice and nori, while the background is a chickpea spread on pita over a sky of red cabbage.

Toby, Jenny and Terri are rehabbed squirrels who are apparently all too eager to make sure your food is safe for consumption.
Companies make it hard to tell if videos like this one, which shows Peter the Elephant using a Samsung Galaxy smartphone with the help of his lovely assistant, are advertisements or just genuinely cool animal videos.
This particular example is a commercial and an adorable animal video, and even though a few scenes are faked I still love watching Peter play with the smartphone. Yay for animal approved technology!

If you haven’t already heard, thanks to all the non-stop commercials and serious internet buzz, The Hunger Games just hit theaters today. In honor of what is already the biggest book/movie series since Harry Potter, here are some fun and fantastic arts and crafts based on the series.
I have to admit that my favorite fan art creations were those created by Etsy seller PurpleCowPosters. Just look at the simplistic design and the great use of texture on this poster and it’s easy to see why.
In fact, I couldn’t just pick one design from PurpleCowPosters, so I thought I’d include this design for District 12 just to show off the serious skills used in their creations. In fact, even if you don’t really dig The Hunger Games, I highly recommend visiting their store where there are over 100 cool posters for a variety of movies and TV shows available for sale.
What happens if you mix the Obama campaign posters by Shepard Fairey with The Hunger Games? You get this fantastic Snow poster by Tumblr user Pixhunter.
With the subtle tree imagery in the background and the shockingly bright mockingjay front and center, this poster, by Bart Van Ackooij is as beautiful as it is striking.
Yes, it might look like a manga cover than a poster for the upcoming film, but regardless of what the design actually looks like, there’s little debate as to the quality of art in this great piece by RatGirlStudios.
Buzzfeed put together an NCAA tournament bracket that has nothing to do with the actual basketball games, but instead pits the teams’ animal mascots against each other to rank which is the cutest. Which means no matter what team you like, you can enjoy a series of sweet wildlife photographs. The wildcats above represent Kentucky. Link
