Chet Phillips, who created the Literary Pets trading card set, has completed another set of art cards. This one, called the Order of Nefarious Villains, portrays twenty different evil Victorian and steampunk masterminds ready to do battle with the forces of good. Some of their characteristics are reminiscent of evil villains you already know. Link -Thanks, Chet!

Believe it or not, some of us still play games with real cards at a table with family and friends. Playing cards have a rich history dating back to the 14th century. The oldest cards are rare and precious, and many not-so-old cards are works of art. You’ll find everything you ever wanted to know about playing cards and more at the World of Playing Cards. American architect Bryan Berg has succeeded himself as the world record holder in number of cards stacked. He built a replica of the Venetian resort in Macau inside the hotel itself. The creation is composed of 218,792 cards (4,051 decks) with no glue or other aids to hold them together. The feat took Berg 44 days. The hotel replica stands almost ten feet tall and is 33 feet long!
‘This has been the most ambitious project I have undertaken to date,’ Berg said.
‘It’s really like a real construction project because you have to engineer every single adjacency and every support that’s supporting everything above,’ he added.
‘I was inspired to stack cards by my card-playing grandfather; maybe I can inspire some visitors at The Venetian Macao to try their hand at building their own structures.
‘There couldn’t be a more fitting place to build the world’s largest house of cards than at the world’s largest resort hotel,” he added.

Some people love to send postcards. Some people love to tell the truth. Sadly, most postcards out there tend to have a very nice and polite message that is not always the reflection of what we think or feel about a situation.
If you want both (a nice-looking postcard that reflects your feelings) here are some good news. Things have changed and now you have some good options…, well, at least two good options to be sincere using a card.
You can send a "Wrong Card" for free via email (they are online and they have cards for any ocassion) or you can buy at Etsy "Courtesy Cards" by Gramkin Paper Studio that are like business cards, but with the purpose of getting rid of undesirables in a very polite way.
Of course these cards are meant just for people with sense of humor. Incorrect use of any of them could lead you to trouble!

Yippee! We’re now carrying wonderful products from indie artists Ashley and Hannah of Hoopla in the Neatorama Online Store.
This particular one above, My Punny Valentine, is a set of 5 revamped 1950′s style Valentine cards that feature really bad – and therefore really awesome – puns. They are perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Also, check out the Forever Bouquet, a dozen colorful "freshly cut" paper flowers that will never need sun or water. It lasts forever, and in this economy, that counts for a lot!
When I was in high school, I worked at an antique store and developed a strange love for things that most 15-year-old girls do not usually adore (Depression glass, anyone?). That included vintage Valentines. I still have a few old ones that I’ve been saving for a “special occasion” for the past 11 years or so, but maybe now I don’t have to hoard them since Fred Flare is selling repros. Love them!!
The web seems to be filled with design fans but the creatively innovative business card is the opus of many designers – something that shows off their skills to potential employers, colleagues or contractors.
The collection linked below, however, has to be one of the most thorough fully-sourced lists out there (though there are plenty of other awesome ones too).
Business cards are cards representing company or individual bearing business information like company’s or individual’s name, address, e-mail, telephone number etc. Usually business cards are simple – black text on white background – including just main information and company’s logotype, but there are many other creative business cards standing out and really taking attention.
You have an upside-down hat and you have some cards; you need to get the cards in the hat. It’s just like a real-life card toss! The longer you hold down the mouse button, the more distance you’ll cover with your card. Use your mouse to pan to the left or to the right as needed. Have fun!
Professional poker player Chris Ferguson can cut bananas and watermelon just by throwing a playing card. Pretty impressive, but wouldn’t it be easier to just use a knife?
I kid, I kid.
