There’s nothing quite like settling down with a good book next to a warm fireplace during the winter. But this is probably not the place for it.
The Twingo is a subcompact car manufactured by Renault. To promote the car, Renault asked a famous chef, a fashion designer, a pop star, and an interior designer to remake four cars with individual, luxurious tastes in mind:
The results are predictable, yet entertaining: Michelin-starred Italian chef Davide Scabin gave the car the “Fusilli Jerry” treatment by covering the interior in pasta, French fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac gilded the dashboard and replaced the seats with French royal furniture, singer and entrepreneur Nicola Roberts turned the back seat into a recording studio and front seat into a dressing room, and German designer Nils Holger Moormann built a library complete with wood floors, a fireplace and a cozy sofa.

The American philosopher Homer Simpson once praised the concept of the motorhome as “a car I can go to the bathroom in.” The custom-built (no, sadly, this was not a production vehicle) Bath Tub Buggy made by George Barris during the 60s and 70s is the fulfillment of this dream:
The design features a bathroom. In front of the grille is an actual handsink. The rear displays a french bathtub. Hardware and facets for each bathroom fixture is included in brass. There is a tile flooring with long hair mats. Front headlights are spot beam or flood and the rear lights are ornamental styled bathroom fixtures.
The listing doesn’t say firmly that the fixtures aren’t also functional. There’s really one one way to know for sure.

It takes a special sort of genius to even envision a limo consisting of 2 or more Geo Metros, let alone build one. And is that duct tape? Even better.
Jalopnik reader Louis spotted this vehicle outside of Seattle.

Shove a 1943 Beechcraft body onto a 1979 Jeep Cherokee chassis, and this beauty is the result. The Beech Car was built by Bob A. Pfeiffer in 1984 and is now up for sale. The custom-built interior still looks much like an airplane, especially the driver’s seat. It was used, among other promotional purposes, to transport a hockey team’s cheerleaders onto the ice.

WebUrbanist has a great collection of 15 neat school buses turned into artwork. My favorite is the one seen above based on the catbus seen in the anime movie My Neighbor Totoro. This cool art car was one of the many seen at Burning Man 2002.
Ever wondered what it would be like to travel in a jet-powered porta-potty? Me neither. Seeing someone else doing it still is interesting though. It’s every ten year old boy’s dream come true -a whole collection of jet and rocket powered vehicles, including fire trucks, recliners, tractors and more. Plenty of speed record holders here kiddos, so click the link and have fun exploring the speedy side of life.
