I should ask Jill to seriously add this to her fun 18 Seriously Cool Bookshelves and Bookcases post on Neatorama. Behold the Dream Bookshelf by Dripta Roy: Link

This furniture dolly has a bookshelf built right in! Or maybe it’s a bookcase that happens to be on wheels. Either way, it’s a neat idea from StudioDz, available for sale at Etsy. Link -via Boing Boing
This bookshelf designed by Corentin Dombrecht is purr-fect for a home with cats -since they are going to climb your bookshelves anyway! The wood is unpainted and unvarnished to prevent a cat from slipping, and there’s a built-in cat hammock on the top. The Cat-Library™ doesn’t seem to be available for sale -yet, but it is making the rounds of design shows. Link -via Metafilter

Mosaic artist Katy Galbraith made this wonderful shower stall of hand-cut tiles with some broken ceramics. There are tile books perched on the sink as well! It turns out, you can enjoy this bathroom yourself, as it is part of a rental accommodation called the Galvelmore House Garden Flat in Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland. An artful spot for a private getaway! Link -via TYWKIWDBI

Designer John Leung from ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects presents the “Bias of Thoughts” Bookshelf. How does this illusion work? You can figure it out by seeing pictures of the bookshelf from different angles and a video as well at the Neatorama Spotlight Blog. Link
There’s a good reason that William Warren named his creation "Shelves for Life":
The shelves are CNC cut in oak veneered plywood to the customers measurements. They are intended to be used throughout life as storage for personal belongings. On death, the shelves are dismantled and rebuilt as a coffin.

We’ve featured a lot of unusual bookshelf designs on Neatorama before, but never one that you can "roll" up with a good book. Here’s
a circular bookshelf by designer Zhdanova Irina. Her design also comes with a set of sofas that can be stored as a matching ring: Link – via Cribcandy and Yanko Design
Rose Cobb’s Books To Go bookshelf is a stackable shelving unit with wheels, perfect for those who like to carry lots and lots of books wherever they go (or who move home a lot, I suppose!). Notice the handy dandy clamp that secures the books.
