Erik van Loo designed bedding that looks like the shabby sleeping conditions that the homeless in Germany face. Proceeds from sales go to benefit homeless children in that country through an organization called “Kids Off Road” — or that’s how Google Translate is rendering the name.

Two years ago, we featured the creative furniture of Cuban art group Los Carpinteros. Here’s one of their recent works called “La MontaƱa Rusa”, which Google Translator says means “Roller Coaster”.

A new study shows that sleeping in separate beds can help your health and your relationship. Dr. Neil Stanley, a sleep researcher, believes that by not sharing a bed with your partner you may be decreasing the risks of divorce, heart problems, stroke and suicidal behavior.
“Intimacy is important for emotional health. But good sleep is important for physical, emotional and mental health.”
