I Know That Voice is not only the name of this documentary, which focuses on some of the most popular voice actors working today, it’s also what you’ll be saying the entire time you watch the trailer!
Finally, those who give our favorite animated characters a voice will get their day in the sun, and you can see that the old adage “a face for radio” doesn’t necessarily apply to the fine folks who work as voice actors.

This adorable animated music video for the Garfunkel and Oates song My Apartment’s Very Clean Without You is brought to you by animator Deanna Rooney, who knows that the secret to success on the interwebs = lots and lots of kittehs!
My Apartment… is silly yet sentimental, and touched me in all of the appropriate places. Garfunkel and Oates play the songs that make my heart want to dance, if only my apartment wasn’t so darn cluttered!

The latest pixel animation video from Dorkly answers the age old question-What if the Burger Time chef had to get a new job, at a restaurant that doesn’t even make hamburgers?
The answer is, of course, rather ridiculous, but I guarantee it will make you want to play some Burger Time! Ow, I got pepper in my eye!

Rotoscoping is a tedious process that involves animating over a live action film frame by frame, which means it took waaaaaay too long to rotoscope this trailer for the horror classic The Evil Dead.
And, while the end result is pretty cool looking and fun to watch, it’s highly unlikely that PFR Studios will be rotoscoping any more of the film, because this bit is almost three years old!

The first time I watched this video it made me scream “Aaaaagh! Make It Stop!”, but I soon found myself oddly mesmerized by the awkward gyrations of the Fellowship crew.
Once the horror subsided, I couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. Someone put some serious time and effort into this video, then shared it with the world, and somehow it still manages to be better than anything the Backstreet Boys ever put out.

Too much rage could be the death of us all! Things that make you mad get totally out of hand in this animation from Guy Collins. -via Everlasting Blort
The 2001 film Monsters, Inc. gets the Pogo treatment! Sounds from the Pixar movie were remixed by Nick Bertke, and the video was edited by goldpikpikcarrots. -via The Daily What
Things are not as they seem in these antique photo GIFs, and they confirm that the dark side is a silly place indeed.
Clearly influenced by Monty Python‘s Terry Gilliam and old ghost stories, artist Kevin Weir has discovered a fun way to play with images from the Library of Congress’ Flickr account.
Take a gander at the rest of these ghoulishly ridiculous animated delights at the links below, they’re like waiting for paint to dry…and reveal a ghostly visage on the wall.
This retro styled Mass Effect cartoon short was created by animator extraordinaire Harry Partridge, who demonstrates how ME would have looked on a Saturday morning in the 1980s, complete with main characters that like to rock out. It’s funtastic, even on a Tuesday!

This understated animated short comes from the mind of Michael Bolufer, and it’s the pilot episode for a 12 part series. It looks like a fun way to bring cardboard and sharpie together, and it’s animated for your viewing pleasure. A Cardboard cartoon, what’ll they think of next?!

Every gag about clouds you can fit into a 45-second video is here in this cute animation from German producers we think things. -via Laughing Squid
This cute animated GIF comes to you courtesy of Daniel Bressette, who clearly has love for The Legend Of Zelda and glowing pieces of meat. Entitled Let’s Eat, it’s a celebration of the fact that winter is over, except for those who have made Hyrule their home.

Santa Claus has never been more badass, with his tattoo sleeves and militaristic garb, it’s no wonder he was chosen to lead the guardians of humanity.
Check out this slick trailer for the upcoming release of Dreamworks’ Rise Of The Guardians, it will make you believe in magic all over again, even if it’s only the magic of CG animation and visual effects.

The hit show Mad Men has become the victim of parody across the interwebs, and Don Draper isn’t going to sign off on these alternate versions of the intro sequence.
It’s a cute little way to waste some time as you wait for next Sunday’s episode of Mad Men to air. Scotch and soda, anyone?

If you’ve ever wanted to create GIFs on the fly with your smartphone, but found complexity of existing GIF creation programs like Cinemagraphs daunting, then you have to check out Flixel.
Flixel lets you decide which portion of the frame you want to be animated, then it records frames to play back as a GIF, while the rest of the photo remains still.
The result is a pretty cool bit of motion applied to your photos, and makes for some interesting, albeit twitchy, imagery. You can see a short video of Flixel in action, and many more GIFs created with the app, at the links below.

This animated short by Hauke Scheer has it all-action, aliens, and whales in mecha armor powered by their minds.
The one thing this short doesn’t have is the music rights to AC/DC’s classic song “Back In Black”, so Hauke came up with his own version, which sounds pretty close to the original.
This short left me with one nagging question-why didn’t they give the whale a helmet?

When the fantasy movie Willow came out in 1988 it was received well by audiences, but not as well as blockbusters Rambo III, Big and Crocodile Dundee II which were released around the same time. Because of this overshadowing by the big boys, Willow was deprived of a sequel and, more importantly, an animated series.
Sadly, all we have now are scanned sheets of concept art, most of which are simple uncolored line drawings, to show us just how fantastic the Willow cartoon would have been. At least you can check out the sketches for yourself now, because nostalgia is free on the interwebs.
This strange and stylish animated music video is for the Gorillaz song DoYaThing, and it’s great fun to watch!
Directed by Gorillaz artist and co-creator Jamie Hewlett, this video is so good looking it makes me wish there was a Gorillaz animated feature in the works. Oh well, a guy can dream, can’t he?!

Red is a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood that avoids the cliches and delivers a dark little tale told mostly via silhouettes. Created by Jorge Jaramillo and Carlo Guillot, with music composed by Manuel Borda, Red is a stylish adult fairy tale that’s bloody good fun to watch.

This boldly stylized animated short is by Evan Seitz, who you may remember from his recent release ABCinema, which challenged you to figure out the movie based on letters (link).
This time around, Evan wants you to figure it all out by number, with bonus points for figuring them all out from just one viewing.

It’s not surprising that the Disney writers and animators came up with a plethora of dwarf names to choose from while working on Snow White.
What is surprising is that they were left with a whopping 47 unused names, and some of the names on the list are just plain awful. Names like Biggo-Ego, Flabby, and Thrifty certainly don’t conjure up mental images of dwarfs heroic enough to help save the fair maiden, but I would love to see what a dwarf named Neurtsy looks like!
Fresh garden-grown vegetables are wonderful! So is this silly animation about them, created by Si Bennett to encourage Oliver to eat his vegetables. Works for me. -via the Presurfer
I would love to see this crossover and the best part is that it seems like something Adventure Time would even consider taking on at some point.

Childhood of a Circle is a whimsical animated short that will take you back to the wonder years of childhood. Created by French animator Kadavre Exquis, who also had a hand in creating the original soundtrack, Childhood of a Circle is a rare gem among modern animated shorts. With a soothing narrator, painterly backgrounds and a simplistic animation style, it’s timeless fun for kids and grown folks alike.

One thing I love about the interwebs is the fact that people are always posting their own custom compilation videos for us all to enjoy.
This time around it’s a supercut of Itchy and Scratchy, the bloody cat and mouse duo from The Simpsons. Enjoy this over 48 minute long homage to slapstick comedy and extreme cartoon violence, thanks to YouTube user MrBestDeni!

These animated cuties are part of the DC Nation animation block on Cartoon Network, and by the look of them they should be hanging out with the Powerpuff Girls, busting heads and batting their lashes. If you’ve ever wondered what a LEGO person looks like when it’s cut in half, then check out this stop motion short “The Duel”, which reveals what toys are up to when we’re not around to stop all the plastic-on-plastic violence. Can’t our toys just get along?

This slick, action packed animated short by Philippe Gamer and Space Patrol Studio is called “The Chase”, and it will keep your eyes glued to the screen until the very end, when the whole thing makes a U-turn into the realm of the comically surreal.

In 2001, Animusic produced a music video called Pipe Dream that became an animation classic. Ten years later, Intel commissioned Sisu Devices to recreate that video in physical space. It’s not as colorful as the original, but the fact that they pulled it off at all is remarkable. Link -via Metafilter
Simon’s Cat has a smashing good time in a new animation from Simon Tofield. I can relate to this, as I have three mantlepieces. I also have four cats, but only one of them likes to knock things off a mantle. One is enough. -via Laughing Squid
