Reality Strikes When Superman Tries to Get a Job in Journalism

In the DC canon, Superman quit his full-time reporting position at The Daily Planet. I haven't read the comic books in that storyline, but I'm confident that this is a stupid career move.
But let's say that DC retconned that storyline out of existence--not that DC would ever engage in excessive retconning, mind you. Hypothetically, how likely could Clark Kent find a journalism gig today? James Grebey, a cartoonist and journalism student, explains with this letter.
