An Evolutionary Study of Movie Robots

With Pacific Rim hitting theaters this weekend, it's time to revisit movie robots in all their glory. From the Maschinen-Mensch in the 1927 film Metropolis through Star Wars, The Terminator, and Wall-E, see video clips of the different ways robots have been presented in film. Link

Hmmm, they've listed The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) AFTER Forbidden Planet (1956), and additionally they've given an erroneous 16-year interval between TDtESS and Star Wars (1977).

They also forgot to include Douglas Trumbull's 1972 film Silent Running.
George Lucas based R2-D2 on the "Drones" in that film.
